Method 1: Control click method

Press the Control key. Hold down the Control (Ctrl) key while clicking the mouse.

This action is equivalent to a right click on a two-button mouse.

After clicking the mouse, you can release the Control key.

This works with a single-button mouse or MacBook trackpad, or a separate Apple trackpad with built-in buttons.

2. Select the desired menu item. After the Control+ click, the context menu (also known as the right-click menu) for the response is displayed.

Method 2. Right-click the touch pad with two fingers

1. Enable the two-finger click method.

2. Open your trackpad preferences. Under the Apple menu, select “System Preferences” and tap “Trackpad.”

3. Select the Click TAB. In the window, enable the auxiliary click option and select use two finger click or touch from the menu.

4. Test. Go to the Finder and place two fingers on the trackpad. A context menu will display.

5. This method is applicable to all touch pads.

Method three, bottom corner click

1. Turn on the trackpad preferences. Under the Apple menu, select “System Preferences” and tap “Trackpad.”

2. Select the Click TAB. In the window, enable the auxiliary click option and select click in the lower right corner from the menu (note: you can also select the lower left corner). You’ll see a short video example of the correct way to click.

3. Test. Go to the Finder and touch the bottom right corner of the trackpad with one finger. A context menu will display.

4. This method is suitable for apple trackpad.
