Connect my Apple AirPods to my MacBook Air

Click the Apple menu in the upper left corner, and then click System Preferences

Click Bluetooth.

Click to turn on Bluetooth. Keep this window open for the next few steps.

Place both AirPods in the charging case and remove the lid. Press the button on the AirPods case until the status indicator blinks.

Later, the AirPods will appear in the Bluetooth Preferences window. Click the link.

Later, the AirPods will connect to your MacBook Air and you’ll be able to listen to audio.

Connect two pairs of AirPods to a MacBook Air

Go to Finder > Utilities > and start Audio MIDI Setup.

Click + and click Create Multi-Output Device.

Select the box next to the two sets of AirPods. In the main device drop-down list, select your AirPods. Check the drift correction box next to your friend’s AirPods.

Go to the Apple menu > System Preferences > Sound > Multiple Output Devices. When you’re done, the MacBook Air’s audio is sent to both sets of AirPods.

The AirPods couldn’t connect to my MacBook Air

Turn Bluetooth on and off. Click on the bluetooth menu > in the upper right corner, click off bluetooth > and then click on bluetooth.

Remove AirPods and reset. Click on the Apple menu > System Preferences > Bluetooth > Hover over AirPods > Click X > to set AirPods again.

Charge your AirPods. Place the AirPods into its case, and then plug the AirPods into your computer or power adapter to charge the AirPods.
