Fujitsu Semiconductor is a 4Mbit FRAM MB85RQ4ML with fast data transfer capabilities. The non-volatile memory can achieve a data transfer rate of 54MB per second at a maximum operating frequency of 108MHz and a Quad SPI interface with four I/O pins.

MB85RQ4ML encapsulation

The MB85RQ4ML features high-speed operation and nonvolatility, making it ideal for use in industrial computing and networking devices that require rapid data rewriting, such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and routers. Agent Yingshang micro support sample testing and technical support.

Fujitsu Semiconductor’s FRAM products, which have been mass-produced for more than 20 years, offer higher read and write durability, faster write speeds and lower power consumption compared to EEPROM and flash memory. These highly reliable products have been successfully used in the industrial, infrastructure, consumer and automotive sectors.

MB85RQ4ML adopts Quad SPI interface, 1.8V power supply voltage, data transmission rate can reach 54MB/s at 108MHz operating frequency. Prior to the product’s release, the 4Mbit FRAM with 16 I/O pin parallel interfaces was the fastest FRAM with a data transfer speed of 13MB/s.

MB85RQ4ML, on the other hand, has only four I/O pins and can read and write data about four times faster than the parallel interface FRAM. It is available in 16PINSOP package sizes of 7.5mmx10.3mm.

Data transfer rate comparison

The Fujitsu FRAM is simply a high-speed, nonvolatile memory that operates like RAM. This allows the programmer the flexibility to allocate ROM and RAM memory mappings as needed. It creates an opportunity for end users to program FRAM at the bottom to customize it to their personal preferences. The stand-alone FRAM allows designers to be creative and explore and use FRAM in a wide range of designs.
