After finishing my three-month internship in Meituan in August this year, I also entered an important node in my life — autumn campus recruitment.

Why does the importance of autumn recruitment rise to such a high level?

On the one hand, it is a big parade of my four years in college, equivalent to the college entrance examination in high school. On the other hand, it determines the new starting point of my future and also affects the road of life in the future.

After two weeks of resume delivery, written test, two weeks of interview and two weeks of offer waiting process, I was lucky to finally receive offers from four BATM companies.

Finally, after a difficult choice, I chose Ant as the final destination (Meituan and Byte had internships, TX can only stay until the fate of the social recruitment goodbye).

So after more than a month of lying flat and rotten, LET me settle some thoughts, share some experience and perception.

A, the sea

Be sure to throw! Be sure to throw! Be sure to throw! Important things say three times!!

The overseas investment here does not necessarily require you to send dozens of companies, but the front-line Internet companies must not be omitted, including Ali, Tencent, Byte, Meituan, Baidu, Pinduoduo and so on

There are three main reasons for sea investment:

1. Never be too subjective!

Don’t fall in love with certain companies! They are all big factory workers, and the differences between companies are far less than the differences between groups.

Don’t be biased against certain companies! For example, some companies may have bad reviews online, but when you actually meet their people, you may change your original opinion.

Don’t think some companies are out of reach! How do you know if you don’t try? There’s no shame in being rejected, there’s no shame in getting an offer.

2. Autumn offers are more likely to get resumes than internships

As the number of applicants for autumn recruitment far outnumbers internships, there is usually a written test and a stricter resume screening process

I think I have a good resume — 985 bachelor’s degree + two internship experiences in large factories, but I failed to get the interview opportunity of Xiapi, Kuaishou and netease

This also makes it difficult to get into the interview process immediately after delivery, often with a waiting period of one to two weeks. This highlights the significance of sea investment in the wrong peak.

Prepare in advance and deliver your resume as early as possible. Because I missed the advance approval, MY shrimpy (Shanghai) did not have HC directly, and I failed the written test which I did quite well.

3. Anything is possible before the lottery

Every year, some companies raise salaries unexpectedly, such as Tencent and Aliyun this year and Meituan last year

If you do not invest in the sea, you are likely to miss these opportunities and regret.

A few months ago had a popular word “teng teng, no teng suicide” (although xu Teng later became a cloud…)

I have seen some students who, due to subjective factors, did not submit their resumes to Tencent, or out of the mismatch of the technology stack, or out of self-abasement, regret after the lottery.

Because after going through a lot of interviews, you’ll discover that language is just a tool to achieve your business, that strong learners need it everywhere, or that your initial inferiority complex was just an excessive fantasy of suffering.

Students holding more than one offer can also master the initiative of argue after the lottery. Here is inconvenient to expand, understand all understand ~

Two, autumn recruitment preparation

This aspect of the content should have been said very bad, here simply mention a few to the sprout new students to do a reference. Search other blog posts for details.

1. Resume screening

In the resume screening process, school and internship experience are the most important two points

985/211 university or large factory internship experience, enough to pass most of the resume screening.

If you don’t have either, don’t be discouraged. Carefully preparing skill points and projects is also an important plus

2. The interview

After entering the interview, everyone starts at the same starting line

The most important two points are eight-part essay + brush questions

Java eight articles, a platize, including computer foundation, Java (foundation, concurrency, JVM), MySQL.

The above three aspects have been very explosive, it is still difficult to cram at the last minute, can explain, through the interview is not a problem.

For those of you who are already familiar with it, feel free to test out these plus points: Distributed concepts, MQ, Redis, Netty, Zookeeper, etc.

Brush the first points to offer and HOT100, can cover 90% of the interview questions, after mastering the essence of the idea, cover 99% without exaggeration

Offer choice

1. Think about

We all know the general principles of choosing offer, but we still struggle with the final decision.

Why is that?

Because when we think about this problem, we’re not trying to figure out what we know on an exam, we’re trying to figure out what we don’t know from what we know, we’re trying to figure out what we don’t know from what we know.

As we all know, offer selection is not only based on money, but also on technical growth, group atmosphere, city of work and other factors.

However, in the face of companies we have never been to and groups we have never stayed in, how can we know where puA is less, which group has stronger technology, which group has more responsible mentors, which group has faster promotion after three years, and which one has more chance to settle down and buy a house after 10 years in Shanghai and Beijing?

All we can do is gather as much information as possible and reduce the uncertainty of the problem.

2. For example

So nonsense reason is not much told, here offer a reference with oneself for example.

After Tencent and ant draw prizes, my entanglement began.

From the perspective of salary, both bases are similar, ant is higher in the first year, Tencent is higher in the two years (ignoring the impact of promotion and salary adjustment).

Hr from Tencent also communicated with me many times with sincerity. Finally, after some ideological struggles, SHE reluctantly refused. The reasons are as follows:

1. As a fresh graduate, I hope to learn from a mature business first. It may be more appropriate for me to join a start-up project after I grow up in various aspects. 2. In terms of technology, I have studied the Java technology stack for more than two years and hope to continue to work on it. Golang is ok, but not right now. 3. I am interested in financial payment technology and hope to learn how to build a stable payment system.Copy the code

It’s not clear, though, that FIVE years from now, I’m still going to approve of my current decision. When I believe that there is no need for their own life can not make the overall optimal solution and regret and regret it!

Four,

Autumn will recruit me. It’s a foregone conclusion.

What I miss most about this road is that I started learning Java in the second semester of my sophomore year. From knowing nothing to being able to use Springboot to write projects, I was still young.

Next week, I will start the ant internship in advance. I hope it will be a happy and fruitful journey!

Also wish the students who read this blog can be inspired, in the future recruitment of satisfactory results, harvest the desired offer!
