Google has announced MentalPlex, which allows users to simply stare at a swirling GIF, think about what they want to search for, and click on the vortex to complete the search.

Google has revealed how its core technology, Google PigeonRank, and how it actually works, relies on specially trained pigeons to PigeonRank web pages.

2004: Lunar recruitment


Google is building a research and work center on the moon (scheduled to open in spring 2007, the project has gone bankrupt) and is looking for new employees. Resumes are welcome.


2005: Google Gulp (BETA)



Google Gulp comes in four flavors: beta-carrot, sugar-free radical, glutamate grape, and serum tonic. After drinking, it can increase the user’s intelligence and optimize the use of Google search engine. The boost tweaks neurotransmitters in the brain by analyzing the user’s DNA in real time.

2007: Google TiSP (BETA)




Google has launched Google TiSP (BETA), a free, fully functional, end-to-end wireless network system that you can plug into your toilet with a google-free glove and access your home’s wireless broadband through your sewer system. Simple installation, no matter seat type, or squat toilet is suitable.

2007: Gmail Paper




Google has launched Gmail Paper, a special service that prints out all of your Gmail messages for free, but with ads on the back of each file.

2008: Google gDay

Google launched gDay, a “MATE” technology based on Google’s Sydney RESEARCH and development center that can predict Internet information 24 hours from now. Users can use it to search stock prices, sports scores or news events 24 hours from now. You can even see the actual wording of the blog and newspaper column that you will be writing 24 hours later.


2008: AdSense conversation ads

Google has launched AdSense Conversation ads, a technology that allows you to see AdSense related ads over your head while talking to your friends.


2008: Mars settlement program




Google has launched Project Virgle, which will take hundreds of users on an unprecedented adventure to conquer Mars.

2009: Google Chrome 3D




Google Chrome has launched a 3D version of Google Chrome, using CADIE technology to support all Chrome pages.

Google launched “traverse search” for Chinese users, taking you through time and space, to arrive at the time and place you most want to arrive, with an immersive way to perceive everything you want to perceive.

Google has launched Google Smell, a database of smells made up of about 15 million gas bytes and indexed by using Google Street View cars to record air smells. Users need to go to the Google homepage, search for something they want to smell, just click “try” and then click “Start sniffing” to smell what you are searching for.

Google Chrome has released an Emoji translator that converts your written text into emoticons.


2015: Google Maps Pac-Man


Google Maps turns the road into a game map like the classic “Pac-Man” game. When users navigate, they see a road map made up of dots and, based on what is displayed on the map, avoid ghost markers in order to reach their destination safely. Users can also eat beans or cherries if they feel hungry. Pac-man map navigation is easy to use, selecting locations by pressing up, down, left and right.


2016: Cardboard Plastic


Google has introduced the new transparent Cardboard Plastic, which is not only reinforced and lightweight, but also completely waterproof. Better yet, it provides a completely realistic experience, revolutionizing the presence of VR devices.
