One stone stirred a thousand waves, received more than 200 resumes in three days.

I spent two weeks of my free time commenting, replying, discussing and correcting.

After reading all the resumes, there are very few that can be called models.

Some students are very strong, but when they see his resume, it is impossible to pass the resume screening, it is their own waste.

In my opinion, the best resume is not about how beautiful it is, how many words are written, but about how well you show your strength, ability and charm. It is not ok to exaggerate or shrink so that others can fully understand you.

Below, we discuss how to write a resume and what mistakes they make.

First, poor typography

Some of you have a resume that looks like you’re writing an essay, one line at a time, and Kaka gives you whole pages.

When we write resumes, we pay attention to brevity and tidiness.

Brevity is short, every word is pearls.

It is to use the fewest words, the fewest layout, write all the key content.

(This student’s resume is very succinct, every word is useful, not at all muddy.)

Neat is the typesetting is decent, some students, typesetting disorder, misalignment, and typos. This is the kind of sloppy resume that HR people don’t like when they see it.

Look at this student’s resume, some use ICONS, some use text, and the text is completely misaligned, no beauty. There is no need to write expertise here, the following has been a column of professional skills, there is no need to repeat.

Second, reckless waste

Waste is a diamond used as sand!

1. Cet-4 and CET-6

Do you think Cet-4 and CET-6 are important?

Some students think it is not important, some students think it is very important.

For HR, CET-4 is equivalent to the standard for programmers. If you don’t have it, your resume will be at a discount.

So, if you pass the cet-4, CET-6, you should clearly mark it, you can put it directly in your profile

If you have many certificates, you can open a separate column and put it in it obviously. Because the column of certificate is a must for HR, it can reflect your learning situation and learning ability in the learning school:

As some students clearly write a column of language ability, it is also possible:

Some students are very good at playing hide and seek. They write their English level at the end, and it is mixed with other information. The title is not related to language and certificate, so HR will easily miss it

2. Internship and project experience

Internships and projects are the most important things on a programmer’s resume that directly set you apart from everyone else.

And some students, it is particularly bad, and pass, you want to know more about no information.

If you have internship experience and project experience must be emphasized, and when writing, internship experience can be passed, write a brief introduction of responsibilities:

Projects involved in the internship experience will be described in detail in the project experience, including project description, project responsibility and technology involved:

What is a progress bar?

We say that when you’re writing a resume, you need to write professional skills, which is simply to outline what you know and what you know. Give the interviewer a quick overview of your technology stack.

Some students are so cool that they use a progress bar for fear that people will know exactly what they know.

If you are familiar with Python Web development, do you know Python? Will Python file manipulation work? Is there an IDE that works? This information is completely absent.

So, you will what, you want to write out, you don’t say, how will people know?

It doesn’t mean you can’t go to the progress bar. This is a resume for programmers, not a progress bar.

Progress bars are allowed for jobs with low technical knowledge, such as operations and products, but not for programmers!

Four, where come one year work experience

Internship just say internship, haven’t graduated how come one year work experience?

Before graduation, you say you have one year of work experience, like a routine training class.

It’s very objectionable, bad faith, and it’s very stupid bad faith.

Some students asked me, Qijian, can I exaggerate my resume?

Can exaggerate, of course, now there are a few graduates do not blow, obviously their own learning are not, write grade point Top 5%. Understand write familiar, familiar write proficient, not all so stem!

But some things can’t be faked!

You can’t fake something that can obviously be detected and will be checked.

Like work history, school, degree.

Some students write undergraduate courses in their junior college and even forge certificates, which are extremely stupid behavior, because HR will check on the school information network when entering the job, and the academic background and school can not be forged.

No falsification of any publicly available information!

Five, inferior information and nonsense write so forward, do not want to pass?

1. Cut the crap

You know, every resume gets tossed off the shelf in less than five seconds. That how in such a short time how to highlight their strength is very important.

People see things from top to bottom, so their core competitiveness should be written at the front, not at the back of competitiveness.

Some students are particularly fierce, old afraid that people do not want him, come up to a self-introduction, his a disorderly kua.

It’s your technical description, your project description, your internship process, not your bragging rights! It’s no use getting high.

If there are too many words, we can all leave out the self-introduction. This part is the least important. What matters to the interviewer is objective facts, not assumptions!

2. Inferior information is later

Generally speaking, disadvantages include education background, weak project experience, etc. Anyway, where you think you are good, write first, and where you are not good, write back.

Therefore, I think the best resume, not how beautiful, how many words, but can properly show your strength, ability and charm. Giving the other person a complete picture of you serves the purpose of a resume.

You don’t have to use this template completely, you can find your own template, as long as the information on the template is fully filled into your template, is a good resume.

Let me show you some of the resumes of some of the students who have written examples.

This student’s template is very good, very concise, not muddy at all, a lot of key information. This is a good resume template.

This student, although indicated by the progress bar in the professional skills section, the whole template is very good. Be clear, concise and organized. Just modify the description of the expertise and the project description, and it’s a pretty good model.

So the resume is good, not to see what it looks like, what kind of template you use, the key is to see this template, can simply reflect your strength, this is the most important.

That’s it for this article, and hopefully, your resume is the best way to showcase your skills.

The best relationship is mutual achievement. Please give me a thumbs up. Thank you very much.
