methodology
The investigation was launched in the first place
To sum up the following points:
- Understand the situation of open source employment personnel in mainland China
- Understand the main technology stack in mainland China
- Understand the salary of open source employment in mainland China
- Providing quality data, understanding how open source works, using those tools, how the community works.
- Understand and understand the uniquely organized system of public goods delivery on which the modern global economy depends.
- Help open source users, contributors, maintainers, and stakeholders understand each other’s motivations, experiences, and needs.
Design principles
This survey is based on a scientific discussion of design principles from academia, industry, and the open source community. It mainly focuses on the following aspects:
- Behaviors and preferences regarding consumption and contribution.
- About the online space, and the attitudes and practices related to privacy.
- Seek and provide technical assistance.
- Negative experiences and their consequences.
- Enterprise policy for using and contributing to open source.
- The demographics of open source participants, and the history of the technology.
- The technology stack or interests of open source development participants
