At Microsoft’s Build 2021 conference in late May, CEO Satya Nadella said the company is testing what will be the most important update to Windows in the last decade.

Windows 11 was officially announced on the night of June 24. In addition to the recently leaked interface updates, Windows 11 also integrates with Microsoft Team, releases a new Microsoft Store, and, most importantly, brings Android apps to Windows for the first time.

“Windows is not just an operating system,” Nadella said. “It’s a platform for platform creators.” Microsoft’s ambitions are plain to see.

UI interface redesign

Windows 11 simplifies the interface design and user interface with a new Start button and taskbar, with ICONS centered.

In addition, the next generation of Windows also introduces new post layouts, post groups, and virtual desktop features that make it easy for users to access all applications and multitasking. Users can more easily organize Windows and optimize screen space, view content on demand in a clean and tidy layout, and create a separate virtual desktop that can be customized to their preferences.

Integration with Microsoft Teams, Widgets Return

Windows 11 integrates Chat, based on Microsoft Teams technology, into the taskbar, providing a new way to connect with people. With Microsoft Teams, users can connect directly from the desktop to the people they want to connect with. Whether on Windows, Android or iOS, users can type, chat, voice or video with all of their contacts in real time, from anywhere, on any platform or device.

Windows 11 also shows the return of gadgets. Its new Windows Widgets feature is a personalized reminder feature, powered by AI and a powerful Microsoft Edge browser. With the help of Microsoft Edge and many widgets, users can quickly and timely access to information, information, and entertainment content.

New Microsoft Store for Android applications

Windows 11 has a new and faster Microsoft Store. Users can more easily explore and discover apps, games, video shows, movies, and more.

But Microsoft’s ambitions do not stop there.

Its new payment mechanism allows developers to bypass Microsoft’s payment mechanism, in which Microsoft takes zero. Developers can also use Microsoft’s payment mechanism to list apps and games on the Microsoft Store, where Microsoft takes a 15% and 12% cut, respectively, much lower than on Apple’s App Store.

In addition, Microsoft announced the introduction of Android applications to Windows. Later this year, users will be able to find Android apps in the Microsoft Store and download them through Amazon’s App Store.

Platforms can only serve society if they allow fundamental innovation and category creation, Nadella said. Because of this, Microsoft has introduced a new Store business model and strategy to support more apps on Windows, including Android apps.

The free upgrade will be available later this year

In addition to the highlights outlined above, Windows 11 also features a number of touchscreen enhancements and improvements to the Windows PC gaming experience, including support for your favorite PC gaming accessories and peripherals. With Xbox Game Pass for PC or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, players can access over 100 great PC games at any time, along with others that are constantly being added.

According to Microsoft, Windows 11 can be upgraded for free, but there are certain requirements for computer systems. The minimum requirements are shown below:

Windows 11 has yet to be released and will be available later this year.
