MongoDB announced that it was deprecating Perl drivers due to too few users. Scott L’Hommedieu, senior product manager for MongoDB, says that over the past few years, the team has surveyed the user base and spoken with companies that use Perl drivers, and the feedback is that there is very little demand from users to support new MongoDB features through Perl drivers. On the other hand, no user in the MongoDB community has asked about Perl drivers since 2018.
