Drive digital transformation with hybrid cloud platforms for modern applications

What is VMware Cloud Foundation?

VMware Cloud Foundation is a hybrid Cloud platform built on full-stack Hyper-converged Infrastructure (HCI) technology for managing virtual machines and choreography containers. With a single architecture that is easy to deploy, VMware Cloud Foundation enables consistent, secure infrastructure and operations across private and public clouds. Increase enterprise agility and flexibility through a hybrid cloud that can provide all of this.

Advantages of VMware Cloud Foundation

Simplified management

Optimize the performance, resilience, and availability of the Kubernetes cluster with integrated container choreography (powered by vSphere 7 with Kubernetes).

Flexible deployment options

Access a wide range of deployment options across private and public clouds and choose from self-managed HCI and HCI as a service options.

Enhanced application performance

Improves application performance and reliability through high-performance storage and load balancing across seamless resource pools in each environment.

Standardized architecture

Automate HCI delivery with the best-in-class computing, storage, network connectivity, and management tools you use in your data center to simplify operations and reduce TCO.

Maximize scale and IT efficiency

Manage workloads locally deployed or in the cloud by extending the same infrastructure, operations, tools, and processes everywhere.

Native security

Enterprise-level security is ensured with our full-stack HCI platform, which integrates traditional virtual machines with modern container workloads.

Application scenarios of VMware Cloud Foundation

Private clouds and hybrid clouds

Deploy infrastructure from virtualized resource pools in local deployments, edge, or cloud environments. Automation and choreography simplify the management of virtual machine – or container-based workloads that can be scaled to meet your business needs.

Modern applications

Develop and deploy modern applications locally or in the Cloud through VMware Cloud Foundation Services, a new interface that integrates Kubernetes and RESTful apis.

Virtual desktop infrastructure

Automated deployment of the Horizon 7 virtual desktop Infrastructure (VDI) to standardize, automate, and simplify virtual desktops.

Deployment method

The VMware Cloud Foundation provides the broadest and most flexible solutions for private Cloud and hybrid Cloud deployments. Choose from a wide range of vSAN ReadyNodes, integrated systems, composable server platforms, or jointly designed systems (such as Dell EMC VxRail) that meet your requirements. Review the table below to select the private and hybrid cloud deployment patterns that best suit your needs.
