WebAssembly, or WASM, is a new technology for running portable programs in a secure and efficient manner with the following advantages:
1. Efficient performance: WASM adopts binary encoding, which has superior performance in the process of program execution;
2. Low storage cost: Compared with text format, binary encoded text occupies less storage space;
3. Multi-language support: Users can use C/C++/RUST/Go and other languages to write smart contracts and compile them into WASM format bytecode
