Although XMind 2020’s minimalist design has greatly reduced the cost of learning for beginners, there are many uses that may not be familiar to everyone. Today, Jiang shares a wave of operations that will quickly improve your drawing efficiency.

Rapid style

Quick Style Allows for quick changes to theme styles, which can be used to highlight the importance of a topic, and for task management, which can be crossed off as soon as a task is completed. Quick Styles currently support four markup methods: Extremely important, important, Delete, and default.

The neat thing about the Quick Style feature is that it synchronizes updates to the annotated theme. Especially if you are making a large map, it can be a lot of work to make changes to the annotated theme one by one. But quick Style supports one-click updates, which can be updated to all the same annotated themes with one click of the mouse.

In addition, the Quick Styles feature allows you to update styles to all sibling themes or all subthemes in one click. When customizing the style of a map, adjust the style of a subtheme and click Update to all of its peers to synchronize your favorite style to all of its peers or subthemes.

shortcuts

Mastering common shortcut keys can greatly improve the efficiency of drawing. General skilled use of Tab, enter and the space bar can quickly map the drawing. You can also try other key combinations for inserting notes, contacts, outer boxes, and so on.

Create a subtheme – Tab

New sibling theme – Enter key

Type text-space

Other shortcuts can be viewed in the software menu bar. For now, XMind: ZEN also supports customization of shortcut keys, which can be customized if the preset shortcut keys do not fit your usage habits.

ZEN mode

People are most productive when they are focused, and a lot of times, inefficiency is due to too many outside distractions. In ZEN mode, the pages are clean and free of clutter. You can focus on the capture of your thoughts without the distractions of the outside world. With the operation of shortcut keys, you can be deeply immersed in your own thinking and think more calmly and clearly.

The ZEN mode also supports the timing of today’s focus time. When combined with the Pomodoro technique, giving yourself a certain amount of time to complete a task effectively puts a little pressure on yourself to complete it more efficiently.

Also cool is the Night mode in ZEN mode. Open in a low-light environment, can effectively alleviate the visual fatigue caused by bright screen.
