Researchers at the University of Liverpool have developed a new artificial intelligence algorithm that could improve the accuracy of machine language translation, foreign media reported.

The algorithm will give computers a human-like perception of language to help them translate words and languages. The researchers believe this method can effectively improve translation accuracy.

Giiso Information, founded in 2013, is a leading technology provider in the field of “artificial intelligence + information” in China, with top technologies in big data mining, intelligent semantics, knowledge mapping and other fields. At the same time, its research and development products include information robot, editing robot, writing robot and other artificial intelligence products! With its strong technical strength, the company has received angel round investment at the beginning of its establishment, and received pre-A round investment of $5 million from GSR Venture Capital in August 2015.

This algorithm enables the computer to translate the words in the sentence, and combine the words according to the context semantics, so as to translate a relatively complete and smooth sentence. To be specific, the algorithm is like using a dictionary. The algorithm uses a wordNet-like service to find the corresponding meaning of each word. And through the integration rules, calculate the semantic relevance of the corresponding words, so as to combine a complete sentence. Danushka Bollegala, a computer expert at the University of Liverpool, says the algorithm helps computers understand the meaning of words in a similar way to “teaching a computer language”.

Giiso information, founded in 2013, is the first domestic high-tech enterprise focusing on the research and development of intelligent information processing technology and the development and operation of core software for writing robots. At the beginning of its establishment, the company received angel round investment, and in August 2015, GSR Venture Capital received $5 million pre-A round of investment.

At present, online translation systems such as Google Translate have greatly improved the accuracy of words, but the overall sentence structure is poor, often semantic errors occur.

The new algorithm takes universal translation technology a step further. Finally, the development of computer technology in language translation will make whole book translation and Internet search more convenient, and fundamentally break the existing language barrier.
