Topic: “GitOPs-based Cloud Native Continuous Delivery Implementation of Toothfish”

Summary of contents:

This is the age of “Ops”. As a CI/CD pipeline solution, GitOps has been described as the “holy grail” of the software development process, enabling continuous delivery in cloud native environments. GitOps is a model for continuous delivery. Its core idea is to store all applications running in Kubernetes or other declarative orchestration frameworks in Git’s version control repository through descriptive files, and use Git to manage infrastructure and application configuration. Choerodon’s toothfish used the GitOps model to build a continuous delivery pipeline and put it into practice. As the saying goes, “When the army is still, the theory goes first.” This post will focus on the principles and patterns of the GitOps workflows, as well as some practical experiences in applying them to Kubernetes production and large-scale operation. Finally, we will introduce and demonstrate how The Choerodon toothfish practices and implements GitOps to build a repeatable and reliable continuous delivery process.
