Why do nuggets columns?

Nuggets column positioning is a professional writing platform for developers, better meet the needs of technical article writers. What are the main needs of a writer? We organized a Focus Group to discuss this issue in the Nuggets office, and we also had a one-on-one chat with over 100 developers online, who reported that the biggest pain points in writing articles were:

  1. Professional readers
  2. Valuable discussion

The cost of writing a technical article is very high. Every time I put a lot of effort into writing an article and publish it on the original platform, I can only get a little reading and attention, let alone in-depth discussion. Because of the lack of positive feedback, writing often does not go on for long. Both of these are questions that the Nuggets column can help technical writers solve.

Readers and Discussion

At present, nearly 1 million technical personnel will read technical articles through the website, App and browser plug-in of Nuggets every month, and the reading amount of articles is nearly 5 million times every month, and each article will be collected about 60 times on average. Last month, there was an article whether you want to be interviewed by a first-line Internet company? It only took three days to acquire 1000+ collection, so we believe the author can find readers on nuggets.

Professional and in-depth commentary is rare on the Internet, but not uncommon on the Nuggets. Under Gson’s full analysis (middle), for example, this discussion of technology is something nuggets encourage and aspire to.

Nuggets column function introduction

We published the first version of the column in June, focusing on the Markdown editor. The goal is to achieve the main features of the Markdown editor and bring it to a usable state:

  • All Markdown syntax is supported
  • Code highlighting supports highlighting of common languages including JavaScript/Swift/Java/Python
  • Live preview and synchronous swipe
  • Autosave draft

In the most recent version, a rich text editor was introduced, which is freely available to users who are not used to writing with Markdown. The rich text editor, in addition to still showing better code, has also optimized the presentation of images. The author can choose to display the image in different ways, for example, the image shown below is full screen width.

The left side of the home page also added a column entry, convenient for everyone to better discover and read the column.
