Kicking off the season is Judy Chen and Sarah Fuchs from Crowdstar, who create Covert Fashion and Design Home. Two developers will join us to discuss how to build a long-term gaming business by taking games, players and game developers into account.

In this second edition, Chris Petrovic (Game Mergers and Acquisitions Expert, Zynga) looks at how developers can use mergers to free themselves to focus on what they love: Make great apps and games.

As the popularity of subscriptions continues to grow, developers using subscriptions saw a fourfold increase in revenue in 2018 compared to 2016. Holly Ackerman and David Berlin from sports streaming platform DAZN are on our third episode with some great insights on how they’re growing their subscription business in the industry.

Whether you are a start-up looking for funding or a mature business looking to speed up investment. In general, venture capital is a good source of capital. In episode 4, Matteo Vallone (Venture Capital Expert, Cherry Ventures) shares their investment process and how to best engage investors.

In our fifth episode, we look at one of the most critical topics in the mobile industry and the tech industry in general: privacy. Bruce Gustafson (CEO, Developer Alliance) will lead us on the right track in terms of security credibility, platform value, respect for users, and ultimately building a more user-friendly privacy service in apps and games.

Successful game developers put their players first and foremost. When more than 270 million people have played a game, they must be doing something right. Ben Clarke (Senior Global Marketing Director, Jagex) joins us for our sixth episode to share their innovative approach to increasing player engagement and retention in RuneScape.

Figuring out how your app or game is easy to use for all users can be a big challenge, both from an organizational and technical perspective. However, many developers have made accessibility a core part of their application development process and corporate culture. In this seventh programme, Ceri Lindsay and Rosalind Whittam from the BBC talk about how they are tackling accessibility.

Android apps and games are now available not only on smartphones but also on a range of devices with larger screens, such as Chromebooks. Meanwhile, established mobile game franchises are looking for opportunities beyond mobile. In the final episode of the season, Gameloft’s Maximiliano Rodriguez talks with us about the challenges of bringing games to big-screen devices and new platforms.
