Huawei Cloud GaussDB has been commercially used by more than 1,000 customers, including industrial Bank of China and Postal Savings Bank of China.

In terms of database ecology, Huawei actively participates in the construction of openGauss community and encourages partners and database vendors to release their own commercial releases based on open source openGauss to accelerate the process of digital transformation. On the same day, Wang Hongzhi from Harbin Institute of Technology, Wang Xin from Tianjin University, and Li Qi from Tsinghua University respectively released their innovative research plan based on openGauss.

Wang Hongzhi mainly focuses on AI4DB field and develops online tuning tools for openGauss community. He hopes to design a transferable, quantifiable, interpretable and lightweight machine learning model, and realize effective online evaluation of tuning performance by integrating environmental characteristics, data characteristics and tuning actions. Ensure that the tuning results always get positive benefits, to achieve another breakthrough in openGauss intelligent tuning.

Teacher Wang Xin will develop the knowledge graph data management function of unified storage and query based on openGauss, hoping to realize the storage scheme sharing and query interoperation of the two knowledge graph data models of RDF graph and attribute graph. At the same time, the column storage engine and MOT engine of openGauss are used to optimize the graph data processing structure, and the query performance is improved.

Professor Li Qi from Tsinghua University will further contribute a strong secure verifiable encrypted data search algorithm based on openGauss all-encryption data processing framework. He hopes to further optimize the existing searchable symmetric encryption algorithm to solve problems such as keyword retrieval in ciphertext, so as to achieve query privacy protection and verifiable results. Further enrich the service scenarios supported by openGauss full encryption framework.
