preface

There is always a feeling when writing a tech blog that it is easier to explain clearly with pictures and pictures. Especially in the section on Data Structures and Algorithms. This article is based on PPT to teach you how to use PPT to achieve a simple demo animation.

The environment

  • MacOS
  • PPT for mac 16.34

animation

Let’s do a simple sort swap animation to illustrate the process.

  1. Draw graphic elements

Go to Insert — > Shape, select the shape we want and add a text description. The rectangles in the figure are hereinafter referred to as animation units

  1. animation

Click on the Animation — > Animation pane to display the action management list. Select animation unit 3 and the path animation button becomes editable. Select the line drawing animation path.

The default path is vertical. Select the drawn arrow path and the effect options become editable. Click right (represents left to right movement).

Similarly, select animation unit 2 to edit, and the result is as follows:

If the animation needs to be executed simultaneously (as a swap animation), set it as shown below. At this point, we have completed the first step of our animation demonstration (1 and 2 are swapped). The same goes for the rest.

Export animation

Powerpoint has its own GIF export function, but it didn’t work in my test. You can export the video and turn it into a GIF.
