Database products often have some limitations in order to save resources, improve performance and system stability, and TcaplusDB is no exception.
TcaPlusDB supports two types of tables, Protobuf (Protocol Buffers) table TDR(Tencent Data Representation) table. ProtoBuf is a descriptive language developed by Google that serializes structured data while emphasizing simplicity and performance. TDR is a cross-platform data representation language developed by Tencent. It combines the advantages of XML, binary and ORM (Object Relational Mapping), and is widely used in the serialization scenario of Tencent game data. TDR tables support generic tables and list tables. GENERIC tables are tables that represent element attributes in the form of tables, such as students, employers, gamers. The List table is a series of records, such as leaderboards for the game, and emails in the game (usually the last 100 emails).
The restrictions are as follows:
|Number of tables allowed in a single table group
|Split key (shard key)
|The number of shards in a single table
|A single shard size
|A single table size
|The GENERIC table primary key field
|The GENERIC table is not a primary key field
|List table primary key field
|List table not primary key field
|The number of records in the list table
|Field length (also known as attribute length)
|Primary key field length
|Non-primary key field length
|Single record size
|Number of associated records in a single index
|Number of table groups allowed to be distributed in a single table
|The number of records returned by a batch query
TCAPLUSDB is a distributed NoSQL database produced by Tencent. The storage and scheduling codes are completely self-developed. It has features such as cache + floor-to-ground fusion architecture, petabyte storage, millisecond delay, lossless horizontal scaling and complex data structure. At the same time, it has the characteristics of rich ecology, convenient migration, extremely low cost of operation and maintenance and five nine high availability. Customers cover the fields of games, Internet, government affairs, finance, manufacturing and Internet of Things.
