Time management
Talent is the most precious thing for a company, and I think the most precious thing is time. Most companies have too few people doing too many things. Hiring like crazy is one solution, but it’s not the best solution. If engineers maximize the use of their time, both the individual and the company will benefit the most. Time management is choosing what to do with limited manpower. Things are generally classified into four levels: important and urgent, important and not urgent, urgent and not important, and unimportant and not urgent. We prioritize things that are important and urgent, but that can make us stressors in the long run. When you manage your time well, you will find that what you are doing is within your plan and meaningful, that is, important but not urgent, and become a smart person instead of stressing yourself out with important and urgent things. Time management is an important ability for engineers.
Solid technical foundation
Infrastructure is the most important in any industry, and technological foundation is no exception. The rapid growth of engineers is inseparable from solid technical foundation, such as: good command of data structure/algorithm, strong coding ability, good logical thinking ability, clear thinking, etc. With these basic technical ability, coupled with the selection of excellent track, the growth of engineers will be smooth.
