Specular lobe
- Mirror lobe: The shape of all the reflected light that may be emitted
- With the increase of roughness, the size of mirror lobe increases. The shape changes depending on the direction of the incident light.
- It makes sense to select sample vectors in a similar way when sampling because most of the remaining vectors are wasted, a process known as importance sampling.
