I was going to wait for the contract to expire, but I left ahead of time.

The reasons for leaving vary from person to person, but are generally the same; It’s just a couple of things, like: We’re not right, let’s break up.

I left my job without finding a good company. My parents and friends advised me to find a good company before leaving, which would be a lot of insurance. After all, it is difficult to find a job during the epidemic. But maybe because I want to take this opportunity to have a rest, and I’m not in a hurry to start work right away, SO I just continue to play and quit naked, so that I can concentrate on preparing for the interview.

For the first time, I learned a lot of things.

  • About the contract and how to leave

    When you sign a contract, you think the contract must expire, otherwise you will be in breach of contract.

    • Formal employees can apply for resignation in writing one month in advance, and the specific time of resignation can be discussed with the company
    • 3 days in advance for the probation period

  • Social security, provident fund related

    The social security and accumulation fund of the current month will not be paid if you leave the company before 15th, and the social security and accumulation fund of the current month will not be paid if you join the new company after 15th.

Second, the interview

Leaving can also mean an interview, unless you don’t want to work anymore. I left my job at the beginning of March. I think there are more opportunities during this period.

People may feel that it is not easy to find jobs because of the epidemic. Because of the pandemic, all interviews are remote: phone or video interviews. This way the interview is actually very convenient, do not need to go to the company to interview, the same time can meet more companies. I remember one full week of interviews and feeling a sore throat at the end. I was impressed.

To tell the truth, I pay little attention to Internet companies, only know BAT and TMD are famous, and little is known about other companies, so basically my resume is widely cast.

Of course, it is not to say that a company to deliver, first of all you must have an expected salary (if you want to go to the company is better), you can first cast from your target lower companies, through the interview of these companies to find the feeling, to be fully prepared to cast their own companies, so that the hope will be much greater.

1. Resume template

2. How to send a resume?

There are many ways to deliver resume, this time I mainly use the following three software.

  • BOSS direct hire: Usually the HR or technical person in charge of the company. The feedback is very quick, which is my main delivery channel.
  • Hunting hire: headhunter, generally big companies, compared to better, if the strength is particularly strong, suggested to go this way, because there are headhunters to help you follow up the progress of the interview. For example, in my safe interview, a headhunter followed me from beginning to end. Although he did not go to the interview, he still tried his best to help him follow up. I really appreciate that headhunter.
  • Pull recruitment: Somewhere in between, headhunters and HR, but feedback is slow and feels mediocre.

3. Interview related

This time there are a total of more than 20 companies, the results are far apart, there are written tests, one did not pass, there are also to the second interview, three interview, there are finally to talk about the salary rejected.

Byte, Ali, Tencent have met once, as if this is the first time graduation face these several big companies, the results are terrible to see.

Anyway, I got several offers in the end, and some of the good offers are Daewoo Infinite, Huawei and Webank, while the rest are very ordinary.

(1) Process

Let’s start with the interview process, which is usually 3-4 interviews.

  • One side: technical side, generally speaking, is the future direct superior, mainly basic, project experience related

  • Second surface: technical surface, should be technical director, namely the superior superior? This is a higher level, probably system design, framework, etc

  • Three sides: Department head OR founder (usually a member of the founder team in small companies)

  • All around: HR, basically be to talk about salary, welfare pay and so on

It’s pretty much the same overall. It’s one level after another. You have to go through several levels to get an offer.

The form is generally telephone + video face, HR face is generally telephone face, other are generally video face, and will share screen live programming.

(2) Contents that can be prepared in advance

After three years of the first interview, quite nervous, but also not prepared beforehand, also did not think of the original self introduction (O (╥﹏╥) O), and then the prevaricant, speak of very poor, behind the chat feel not zha drop, anyway is a chat I feel no play. However, the result is surprising, TMD also accepted the offer directly. However, it was discovered later that it was actually a company that squeezed people, and I won’t say it here, with a good name:

As shown here, I just turned it down. When Huawei gave the offer, it found that the word “flush” here was still to be studied, so it was just a joke.

There are many things that can be prepared in advance:

  • To introduce myself

    Basically every round needs, can memorize beforehand, can prepare two versions: the interviewer version and the HR version.

  • Items on your resume

    The interviewer is sure to ask, “Tell me a little about the project you worked on.”

    Do a review of each project beforehand and be very familiar with it, rather than trying to describe it during the interview. This gives the interviewer the impression that you are not familiar with the project, and I have suffered from this.

  • How did you solve a difficult or challenging problem recently?

    This is usually asked in the second interview, and almost always asked this question, so this can also do some preparation.

  • What do you want to ask the interviewer?

    You will be asked questions at the end of the interview, so you can think of your questions beforehand, but you will think of them in a hurry and they may not be useful.

  • Leaving reason

    You must ask, either the interviewer asks or the HR, so you can think of how to answer in advance, memorize, and answer the following questions fluently

  • Questions related to benefits and working hours

    This is generally the technical aspects have been settled, to the last HR interview salary time. Here you should prepare your questions in advance, know the benefits of the company, work hours, as detailed as possible.

  • Salary record and relevant documents

    This is what the final salary will provide and can be prepared in advance.

(3) Contents that cannot be prepared in advance

The interviewer will ask you questions that you can’t predict. This part is mainly related to the basics, algorithms and design, and mainly depends on the usual accumulation.

(4) Some feelings

With so many companies interviewed, there are generally two categories.

Type A: focus on the basics + project experience, the ability to actually do things

Type B: more emphasis on fundamentals, algorithms and learning ability

In contrast, it is easier to get through an interview with type B companies.

In addition, the process of technical interview is actually a technical exchange with the interviewer, in this exchange process can learn a lot; I also let myself know what skills are needed in the market and know my shortcomings, so I still recommend going for an interview, not necessarily to change jobs.

4, choice

Why choice? When you have multiple offers, you need to make a decision and choose one that suits you according to your actual situation, which varies from person to person.
