Introduction of topic guests:

Large-scale practice and Prospects for Ant Service Discovery

Guest Introduction:

Li Xudong, flower name: Xiang Xu. He is a technical specialist at Ant Group and is currently responsible for the development of SOFARegistry in ant Group middleware team

Brief Introduction:

Naming as a field with a long history of development, and naming as the core of distributed system, the data scale supported by it and the stable SLO will have a significant impact on the business. Ant Group operates and maintains hundreds of SOFARegistry clusters in the station, and has high requirements for naming scale and stability, with the largest cluster scale reaching 10 million pub/sub. We have also gradually formed ideas on how to evolve to cloud native architecture, carried out relevant exploration and practice, and achieved corresponding stage results. This share will include the following:

  1. Ant internal practice
  2. Naming development direction and trend in the cloud native era
  3. Summary and Outlook

Audience takeaways:

  • Learn about Ant Group’s thinking in the new challenges of SOFARegistry and the cloud native era.
  • Learn about SOFARegistry practices.
  • Understand the thinking of future Naming of Ant Group and the exploration of naming in cloud native direction.
  • Learn about future SOFARegistry developments and related community trends.

Review and Prospect of Ant Group Service Mesh Progress

Guest Introduction:

Shi Jianwei, flower name: Zhuo Yu. Senior technical expert of Ant Group, focusing on middleware in Service field for many years, including microservice, Service Mesh, configuration center, Service Registry center. Currently, he is mainly responsible for ant internal Service Mesh, SOFARPC, Layotto, SOFAGateway and other products.

Agenda:

  • Practice internal skills: technical challenges brought by large-scale expansion of internal clusters, long connection expansion, intelligent evolution of service governance and manual intervention say goodbye
  • Defining criteria: Is meshing the end point? Apply runtime standards
  • Building access: The secret to rapid business growth
  • Look to the future: the next five years of cloud native runtime

Audience takeaways:

  • Understand the industry’s leading Service Mesh evolution trends, large-scale cluster Mesh optimization direction, Service governance adaptive traffic limiting, adaptive traffic scheduling, MOSN and Envoy fusion attempts.
  • Learn about new technology solutions across the cloud without vendor bindings, application runtime, multi-cloud exploration.

MOSN 1.0 is released, ushering in a new generation of architecture evolution

Guest Introduction:

Zhu Dejiang, name: Rende. MOSN core member.

Agenda:

MOSN 1.0 is released

  • Review the history of MOSN
  • This section describes the features of the latest version

Second, the evolution of the new architecture

  • Force the data plane of the north – south gateway
  • Integrated control surface, open source new products

Brief Introduction:

With MOSN’s widespread use in ants and the growth of the open source community, the refined MOSN was stable enough for MOSN 1.0 to be shipped.

Based on the vision of the unified gateway infrastructure, MOSN starts the next generation architecture evolution. The new MOSN architecture will make use of the underlying high-performance network framework to improve network performance, and based on ISTIO control surface, create the gateway of the cloud native north-south access layer, and realize the unification of gateway infrastructure.

Audience takeaways:

  • Understand the evolution of MOSN, and what problems did it solve
  • Learn about the important features of MOSN 1.0
  • Understand the highlights and working principles of the new MOSN architecture
  • Understand the development plan of the new architecture, how to build the cloud native north-south access gateway

“Ark Serverless System to assist business Rapid DEVELOPMENT”

Guest Introduction:
