The blog has been off for a while now, and as is my custom, the year-end review is done before New Year’s Eve, but this year’s review was delayed too. As I have been busy with graduation and internship, the blog has been put on hold for the time being.

This year has gone by so quickly that, looking back, it seems like the blink of an eye and like I’ve been through so much. For me, 2021 is indeed a special year, which can be regarded as a trans-stage breakthrough in my whole life.

This year, I started my blog at home to learn about the Android stack. Between the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021 will be the most productive time for my blog.

I began to return to school in February to prepare for spring recruitment practice. During this period, preparing for the interview, invested in many enterprises, Tencent, Byte, Ali, huya and so on, a little similar to the taste of senior three. Study, interview, review, study, interview, review… . This period of time can be said to be the most involved in my study.

From the first interview in March to the final offer in April and the entry at the end of April, I have experienced nearly 20 interviews. I failed a lot of interviews and got a lot of offers. I wrote a blog post earlier, you can check it out.

With an internship offer from Xinyi, I have completed most of my goal of 2021.

From the end of April to the end of the year, I have been working as an intern in the company. Because the school has no courses for the senior year in the second half of the year, I don’t need to go back to school, so I will continue to learn more things as an intern and adapt to the life of a migrant worker.

In July, I started my internship defense. After I came to the internship, I happened to have a demand for performance optimization, which can be completed with my current technical level. With the results of this demand, there is a great deal of confidence for the transition. However, I still prepared PPT and speech very carefully. Mentors and supervisors are also very careful to give me guidance, drills and so on. The final is also relatively smooth through the formal.

I also participated in the autumn recruitment in July and August and got offers from two other companies. I didn’t really want to take part in the autumn recruitment after being told that there was no problem for me to become a full-time employee. Review knowledge points, algorithms and so on, really very tired. Later, two HR people found me and took part in the interview. In the end, it turned out to be a wise choice to participate in autumn recruitment.

In October and November, each offer lottery. I also chose an offer with satisfactory job technical content and salary.

Last year’s year-end review concluded with the following goals for 2021:

  • Internship + full-time
  • Blog output
  • Technology promotion
  • reading

Looking back now, it seems only half done.

I haven’t written a blog since my internship. It’s not that I’m too busy, but the tech stack is different than it used to be. There really is no output until there is enough input. But I also have some saved manuscripts, after the year to improve, should be able to meet you. The goal I set at the beginning of the year was 3000 stubborn, and I’m only halfway done.

Second is lazy, really did not work hard at school. I just want to spend the weekend playing video games and lying dead. Reading and blogging are left behind.

On the technical side, as you can see from my previous blog posts, I tend to lean towards Getting started with Android, Java, and UI development. However, during the internship, although Java was still in use, it was basically transferred to c++, and the technology stack was also transferred to multimedia technology stack.

Life at work is a little more monotonous than I expected.

I rent an apartment near the office, and it’s almost two to one during the week. Morning is 10 o ‘clock to go to work, in the evening is usually 9 o ‘clock finish midnight snack home. I spent the first half of the weekend ordering takeout, eating, sleeping and eating in rented houses. Later, I moved to a new place with a kitchen and cooked with my roommate on weekends. It was cheaper and I could eat better.

Life is simple, there are no waves, and the week passes very quickly. I seem to be a person who can not play, sometimes think that all come to Shenzhen, should go out to take a walk, but always do not know where to go out to play.

Learning tasks become demands, social circles from classmates to colleagues. The school is the dormitory classroom two line, the work is the dormitory company two line. It may seem like school life, but it’s completely different. I always felt that my college life seemed too dull. I was ignorant in my freshman year. I experienced the epidemic in my sophomore year. Then I was preparing for the internship interview and stayed in the studio all the time.

2021 is still a year spent under the shadow of the epidemic, but for me, it is a relatively satisfying year.

When I return to school in 2022, the blog will be updated again, but the technology stack will change, c++, rendering direction will be a little more. Android base and Java will continue to be updated, but less frequently. After work energy is really not so full, I admire those who can still maintain the update frequency after work, is the real strong.

Two small goals for 2022:

  • Regular work and rest
  • Keep writing and reading
