I have to say that layoffs are always an effective method.
In this case, I’m not worried about being optimized at all. First, I have been in charge of many core software projects in the company for more than two years, and there are no less than 30 groups of business requirements with other companies. Second, after all, follow the boss from zero to today, aside from his trust in my work, in addition, I think that maybe people will always talk about feelings for a long time.
Of course, I don’t have to change jobs. The company may offer me an important position next, I may still get a merit bonus at the end of the year, and I can still stay safely for another year, or two, or more. But maybe it’s the panic of a 35-year-old career crisis; Maybe it’s the awkwardness of a company that doesn’t seem to value software development as much and doesn’t pay as much. Maybe it’s even a simple desire to break out of the daily routine. I really want to leave, yes, I want to leave!
In the second half of 2021, after three years of employment, I really left. It took me one month to apply for resignation, retain the leadership of the company, hand over the job, and finally leave officially. During this period, the company sincerely retained me, and I was very grateful, but I did not put forward any conditions to negotiate, because I was determined to do so.

The new company is very big, very big, I used to see the boss every day to talk, wechat group message, 7 or 8 percent of my colleagues know each other, can also call the name. From a technician’s point of view, the new company may not be the most technologically advanced. But here, the users of a product more and more complex business scenarios, you need to consider to the safety of the complex, the internationalization of product, the absolute reliability of services, and software design of a high degree of freedom, the need to innovation, have a good idea, good technique is to convince your colleagues, is that this is not an easy thing. The world is big enough to make a difference.
