This weekend, many bitcoin Cash (BCH) supporters gathered at the “Satoshi Nakamoto Vision” conference organized by Bitcoin Unlimited (BU). The three-day conference had an air of crocodile love, as it was the biggest bitcoin gathering in Tokyo to date.

Over the past three days in Tokyo, Japan, a major event for boosting on-chain expansion and BCH usage, the Satoshi Nakamoto Vision Conference (SVC), was held. Hosted by Aquila founder Taariq Lewis, the event featured Peter Rizun and Andrew Stone of Bitcoin Unlimited (BU), Amaury Sechet of Bitcoin ABC, and Craig Wright of Nchain, Daniel Krawisz of the Satoshi Institute, Lorien Gamaroff of Centbee, and many other BCH evangelists. The night before the event, the Good Heavens bar in Tokyo was packed with attendees, all the way to another bar across the way. The next day, the SVC conference began with a speech by Jerry Chan, president of SBI Bits, a subsidiary of SBI Holdings, in which he talked about how the public could make BCH the most usable currency in the world and how SBI Bits could help improve the environment for digital currencies.

After Jerry Chan’s opening speech, Daniel Krawisz revealed how BCH supporters egged him on, and how he egged others on. In conclusion, Krawisz summarizes the main reasons that convinced him to switch from BTC to BCH: “Investing is like survival — the key to success is to convince those who care that BCH will survive. No matter what happens here, BCH will always be in this mess for a long time to come.” Attendees also heard From Cornell University professor Emin Gun Sirer on how Bitcoin can be multiplied by 100,000 times, Emil Oldenburg from Bitcoin.com on dye coins, And Ryan X Charles from Yours.org, Presentation by Bitcoin XT developer Tom Harding and other on-chain expansion experts. It is worth mentioning that listeners also have the opportunity to participate in dedicated panels to discuss the current hot topic in the BCH community — tokens and dye coins. After a day of speaking, BCH fans attended a social event held by the BitCash Foundation that evening.

The following day, we saw another wonderful speech by Ken Shishido, founder of BCH Tokyo Association. Andrew Stone and Peter Rizun of Bitcoin Unlimited (BU), and Amaury Sechet, lead programmer for Bitcoin ABC, talk about the future of Bitcoin cash. Roger Ver, CEO of Bitcoin.com, told people how BCH can enhance economic freedom around the world. “We’ve heard a lot of people involved in digital currencies, used to scoff at the idea of using it as a currency.” COINS Jesus explains, supporters of the core development team don’t respect the fact that the currency is a currency, but he believes that bit of cash is the most close to the hearing in the white paper and COINS real intention of virtual currency: “I think the people in the room is excited about digital currency, rather than excited about” stored value tool “. If it can’t be used as money, it can’t store value very well.” In the evening, Coingeek, the company of Bitcoin Cash and Calvin Ayre, a big fan of on-chain expansion, prepared a special dinner for SVC attendees. On the final day of the event, attendees heard Christina Storey discuss how to be a “good investor”; Josh Ellithorpe tells the story of how Coinbase integrated Bitcoin cash on its platform, and how it smoothen the transition for users. After lunch, the audience heard from Chris Pacia, head of the Open Bazaar development team, about his team’s efforts to build a decentralized marketplace online. At the end of the discussion, Pacia made a point of saying, “The next speaker may or may not be Satoshi Nakamoto.” Then, Professor Craig Wright made his entrance to the song “Enter Sandman” by Metallica.

Dr. Wright talked about the many things he and his blockchain company, Nchain, can do for the community, such as research reports and results on bitcoin and network scaling. Then, Dr. Wright further explained the topology of bitcoin network and the small World network compared to mesh network through slides. “Bitcoin is my job, bitcoin is my life — it’s going to be my job for the next 10, 20, 30 years, and my goal is to get five billion people using bitcoin every day.” At the end of SVC, participants said goodbye to many of the people they had met for the first time and to various new friends who had supported BCH. The conference concluded with a panel discussion on boosting the use of BitCash to make BCH available on every mobile phone in the world. Overall, the event was a great success in the beautiful city of Tokyo. Japan is a place where BCH seems to have a powerful force behind it.
