EasyNVR video Edge Computing Gateway is a video streaming media software and hardware integrated product developed by TSINGSEE Qingxi Video. As long as the device supports the standard RTSP/Onvif protocol, it can be connected to EasyNVR for live broadcasting, video recording, retrieval and playback services. EasyNVR supports multi-protocol distribution, including VIDEO streams in RTSP, FLV, RTMP, WS-FLV and HLS formats, which can meet users’ diversified scene requirements.
Recently, TSINGSEE Qingxi Video technology team received user feedback that FLV and WS-FLV video streams could be played while HLS streams could not in EasyNVR’s site.
In this case, we carried out investigation and analysis at the first time.
Since THE FLV video stream can be played, it means that the video stream has been distributed successfully. If the HLS stream cannot be played, check whether the corresponding HLS file has been generated.
We look at the underlying HLS generation path and find that the corresponding HLS file is not generated. Therefore, it is possible to assume that nginx may be running in an incorrect path.
So we checked the nginx path again to confirm that the path was indeed incorrect.
Once you find the cause of the problem, it’s easier to solve it. After shutting down nginx in the corresponding system, run the software again to run normally. Now the video stream in HLS format can be played normally, as shown in the figure:
