The ONVIF standard will define a common protocol for the exchange of information between networked video devices, including device search, real-time video, audio, metadata, and control information. End users, integrators, consultants and manufacturers can easily benefit from the variety of possibilities that network video products can offer, with higher cost performance, more flexible solutions, market expansion opportunities and lower risks.

Why EasyNVR chose ONVIF:

  • ONVIF allows products provided by different manufacturers to communicate with each other in a unified language, increasing collaboration and flexibility.
  • The ONVIF protocol is not specific to certain devices or certain projects, and its openness and compatibility reduce the integration cost of different devices and improve the flexibility of solutions.

  • At present, monitoring industry “ONVIF standard”, IPC connected to Haikang, DAhua NVR can normally use the control, NVR connected to Haikang, Dahua IPC can normally use the control. EasyNVR will be able to access all onVIF-enabled security devices on the market.

Note: Support for Onvif varies from device to device.

Suppose there are ONVIF IPC of A brand, ONVIF NVR of B brand and ONVIF NVR of C brand. When ONVIF IPC of A and ONVIF NVR of B can be connected, but not ONVIF NVR of C, it cannot simply draw the conclusion that ONVIF NVR of C is not good. The same applies to IPC.

EasyNVR uses the onVIF standard library for detection, discovery and control. Users who use EasyNVR for control can use onVIf Device Manager for verification and detection.
