Agora Education APAAS smart class upgrading

Acoustic network AGORA education APAAS product smart class has been upgraded to V1.1.0 version. Agora Smart Classroom can help educational institutions and developers to launch their own brand, full-featured online interactive teaching platform in 15 minutes at the fastest, saving 90% of development time. As of March 31, the number of registered users has exceeded 1000, the number of supported classes has exceeded 500,000 / month, and the total number of students covering the world has exceeded 4 million.

In the new version of Smart Classroom, we address the previous “UI is not easy to modify” the problem, the UI code and business logic isolation, and provide UI Kit, so that developers can more easily modify, add UI controls. It ensures low code development and provides greater flexibility for customization.

Video calling/voice calling/interactive live streaming Native SDK has been upgraded to version 3.4.2. On the Android version, access to local files via URIs is now supported. On the MacOS version, fixed USB device driver issues, as well as Rosetta translation issues. It also fixed a lag between 3.4.0, 3.4.1 and previous versions of 3.0.0.

The video calling/voice calling/interactive live streaming Web SDK was upgraded to version 4.5.0 in May. Added echo cancellation for locally played audio in certain scenes, optimized media streaming security, added a new encryption mode, and improved on-screen video sharing. At the same time, we released version 3.6.0 of the Web SDK in May (for older SDK users), fixing issues caused by browser policy changes, and improving media stream encryption, video experience, and more.

Four versions of Interactive Whiteboard were released this month, the latest being 2.12.29. This month we added support for image transparency, graphics, and displaying SmartArt as images to dynamic PowerPoint on the interactive whiteboard.

The Local Server Recording SDK has been updated to version 3.0.6.

At the same time, we also updated the various cross-platform versions of the Acoustic Network Agora RTC SDK, including Electron, Unity, Flutter and React Native.

The past, present and future of real-time voice quality monitoring systems

With the development of QOE evaluation system, the RTE industry increasingly hopes to have a set of real-time evaluation system reflecting the subjective experience of users. Since last year, the audio network began to study the real-time quality evaluation method of the audio part, and gradually explored out the abnormal monitoring methodology of each link on the whole audio link.

QoE evaluation system is always a hot topic in real-time interactive scenarios. Since last year, Acoustics Network has started the research on real-time quality assessment methods for audio. We have also shared the tip of the iceberg of the SoundNet evaluation algorithm before. On May 13th, in our “AGORA Talk” live broadcast, Zhao Xiaohan, an audio algorithm engineer of AGORA, introduced the development of the real-time voice quality monitoring system of ACORA to the developers, and discussed the future evolution direction with everyone.

Sound Net’s Q1 2021 earnings report: $40.23 million in revenue, a record high

On May 25, Agora (NASDAQ: API) announced its financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2021. Financial results show that in 2021, Q1 voice network realized revenue of $40.23 million, compared with $35.6 million in the same period last year, a year-on-year growth of 13%; Q4 in 2020 was $33.3 million, representing a 21% month-on-month increase and a record high.

In terms of customer size, as of March 31, 2021, VoiceNet registered more than 306,000 applications globally, up 67% year on year. The number of active customers reached 2,324, up 98% year on year.🔗 Click here to learn more.
