However, for SaaS, it is necessary to consider the pain points and needs of SaaS partners and customers from the three dimensions of product, business and service. From product availability to commercial success, a SaaS needs to experience customer experience, commodity sales and service quality challenges. How to make partners easily overcome these challenges is the problem to be solved, which is also where the value of cloud toolkit on SaaS lies.

Cloud Toolkit on SaaS

The SaaS Launch Kit (SLK) is a set of tools and solutions that help the SaaS Accelerator ecosystem partner’s cloud on SaaS. SaaS refers to broad enterprise applications, including SaaS, traditional enterprise software, apis, solutions, and so on.

SLK defines “cloud on product” as “cloud on product”, “product listing” and “service on”, referred to as “three on” :

After 9 months of exploration and pilot, the overall solution of SLK is shown below.

Cloud toolkit can be divided into three parts, product docking, product docking and heart selection hosting. The corresponding relationship between the sub-schemes in the three blocks and the previous “Three on” is shown in the following table:

First of all, from the perspective of cloud products, it can be divided into running hosting scheme and experience improvement scheme.

Run hosting solutions, relying on aliyun’s rich IaaS and development PaaS cloud products, we provide different run hosting options for different application types. (See below)

Application types can be defined in three dimensions:

1. Depending on industry attributes, SaaS can be deployed on public cloud, government cloud, and retail cloud. Public cloud, government cloud and retail cloud have the same cloud product set, but have different focus on data boundary, security and other protection.

2. Depending on the resource type, SaaS can select different IaaS cloud products. The figure shows computing cloud products.

3. SaaS can choose different resource orchestration and application hosting products depending on the type of technology. Small program applications are suitable for small program cloud, and Java microservice framework applications should choose EDAS. ROS and Web+ are cloud options for other SaaS (including traditional enterprise software). The single-rent application mentioned above can be automatically created through Web+ to achieve the out-of-the-box effect similar to the multi-rent SaaS.

In addition to running hosting, we also provide experience enhancement solutions for SaaS. Including customer experience related accounts, multi-terminal, API gateway and capability center, etc. Ultimately we want to deliver three values to our customers: single sign-on, multiple access, and one site integration.

● Single sign-on: a set of accounts through all the applications of the enterprise, to provide enterprise customers with single sign-on and management of all applications of the convenience, avoid repeated login across the system inefficient.

● Multi-terminal access: customers can choose from multiple terminals to access designated SaaS. Currently, it has been supported: Nail, IDaaS end and customer owned end, and will support SaaS accelerator own end, popular APP small program end, TeamBition, etc.

● One site integration: the API capabilities used by the applications and solutions serving customers can be acquired through the capability center (formerly the API marketplace) in one stop, and integrated and used through the API gateway. In The Cloud Computing Conference in September, API gateway has made a major function upgrade, and the capability center was officially opened to both inside and outside Ali, recruiting the first batch of 500 domain capability partners.

Secondly, from the perspective of commodity listing, the cloud market has provided isVs with two values: commodity empowerment and multi-market publishing. Specifically:

● Commodity empowerment: as long as partners enter the cloud market once, they can complete the commercialization transformation of various products. Cloud marketplaces allow enterprises to apply common product types and metering and billing models. We also encourage partners to work with cloud marketplaces to innovate in product types and metering models.

● Multi-market release: partner products can be released and sold on demand in multiple market channels of Alibaba as long as they are listed on the cloud market once, such as Unicom Market, Taobao service market, 1688, tmall flagship store……

Finally, from the point of view of service, Ali Cloud also supports its own product of a number of hosting solutions, aggregation into the hosting solution (see the following figure), the first open to SaaS. Ali Cloud hopes to cooperate with Xisuan to provide customers with xisuan standard SaaS service quality.

● Heart selection standards: cloud market to provide heart selection hosting solutions and specifications. Let enterprise customers enjoy the same standard of service quality as ali Cloud products. Partner selected products in the cloud market need to connect with code hosting, permission hosting and SLA hosting and run hosting solutions, and comply with the corresponding specifications.

Application Scenarios & Successful cases

In the past six months, many Aliyun marketing partners have successfully connected with the SaaS cloud toolkit, complete the product cloud, product listing and service focus. For example, Champion Interactive gained sales opportunities in various provinces in China through multi-city channels; Party construction cloud to achieve account unification and six end access; Umeng & Zu and other capability providers have also completed API commercialization in the Cloud market Capability Center, and Yunmeng and other SaaS have successfully piloted selective hosting solutions to ensure the quality of service to customers. Ali Cloud also encourages more non-selective SaaS, take the initiative to connect with cloud toolkit and selective hosting standards, to improve the majority of enterprise customers’ satisfaction with SaaS products.

For a SaaS with IaaS layer already connected to Aliyun, technical transformation and process approval of product launching and product listing can be completed within two weeks through self-service document checking and online consultation.
