The first time I checked the firmware, I looked around for information about OpenWT, Pandora, and the old man. It will depend on whether they support SSR or not, and finally decide on Pandora.

Specific brushing steps, in fact, the content of the original post with my own actual brushing supplementary points (pure newcomers suggest a quick read before deciding whether to brush)

1. First of all, you need to open SSH and enter the official website of Xiaomi Router www1.miwifi.com/miwifi_open…

  • Brush into the pb – the boot:

Use WINSCP to upload the downloaded pb-boot-xiaomi_r3P-20190317-61b6d33.img file to the/TMP directory of the router, and log in to the router over SSH

After the pB-boot is flushed, the machine will restart. After the restart, the router lights up white, and the PB-boot is flushed successfully.

Then unplug the power supply and press the reset button of the route with a hard object. When the yellow light of the route blinks, release the reset button and enter 192.168.1.1 in the browser of the computer to enter the PB-boot console.

That’s the original, and the hardest part of the brush trip. First of all, after the restart, the yellow light is on, r3P has no white light, only yellow light and blue light, the restart time is uncertain (I had to go to the bathroom), wait 10 minutes to finish.

“Then unplug the power supply and press the reset button of the route with a hard object. Then, when the yellow light of the route blinks, release the Reset button.” This is the way to enter pB-boot. As long as the previous step is successful, after you power off anything can enter pB-boot in this way.

First, connect the LAN port of r3P to your computer with a network cable, and then set up the network, as shown in the following figure: The gateway must be set to 192.168.1.1, the end of the IP address between 1-255 can do it (not directly copy my ~), set up after the computer browser input 192.168.1.1, you will enter the Pb-boot console. (No, wait a minute or two and refresh the browser repeatedly.)

After pB-boot is installed, the console interface looks like this:

  • Swipe into Pandora Abox

Enter the Pb-boot console, select the downloaded Pandorabox firmware package, and click Restore firmware to start the reboot. (The router will reboot itself after brushing, which takes a few minutes.)

After the reboot is complete, the browser accesses 192.168.1.1 (yes, the background address is still it), enter Pandorabox management, user name root, password admin, and Pandora is complete.

Pandora set wifi, shame shame, the first time using this firmware will not set.

  • Log in to the router and find the DU network -> interface on the left BAI side

  • Click MODIFY WAN interface to enter basic Settings, select PPPoe protocol, and click to switch protocol.

  • Then it comes to basic Settings, where PAP/CHAP username and password enter your broadband account password and click Save App.

  • At this point, the setup is complete. If you see that the WAN in the interface overview has received and sent packets, and has obtained an IPv4 address, it means that the dialing is successful.

Pandora Install SSR(with subscription version)

  • Then go back to the actions TAB and search for SSR (if you can’t find it, press the refresh button above “Download and install packages”).

Among them, SSR-Pro is the SSR without subscription function, ssR-Plus is the SSR with subscription function, we install as needed.

Then refresh the web page. If no, use SSH (putty) to connect to the router and run the following command:

Refresh the router administration page again and you’ll see the long-lost S-S-R Plus. This version supports subscription, other versions do not, you need to manually enter.

At this point, acid acid milk (SSR) installation completed.

Postscript:

Pandora was in use for two weeks. SSR was fine. Other features were not developed much.

Disadvantages: not very stable do not know whether it is appropriate, because as long as you do not change the Settings, it should be stable, a few times do not connect to the Internet because of the changed wifi name/switch SSR/sleep awake suddenly can not go on, the solution is basically power restart routing, Pandora software restart what.
