preface

When I was doing my research recently, I suddenly saw that there were more than 200 hours of Geektime apps, then 500 hours of geektime apps, and nearly 500 hours of MOOCs. The total time of these three apps alone is more than 1,200 hours. Here is an opportunity to take advantage of the use of the situation and a simple list of some experience, but also a kind of accumulation and review.

Some experiences

  • As a Harvard study suggests, the current spread of education has not made education more even, but more concentrated, with fewer people getting more education than ever before. In fact, what most people lack is not educational resources, but a heart to learn or a big enough vision.
  • The column of “Listen to a book every day” is really good. At present, what we lack is time. The whole book adopts the mode of audio + refinement, which greatly reduces the volume of the book.
  • Mooc is a more practical or basic IT learning site, the content is more down-to-earth and practical, more recommended to the new people to use the better.
  • Compared with MOOCs, geek Time is more geek style, and the authors of the column are much more well-known than MOOCs. Some of the columns of big names are also full of content, which is recommended for advanced students to read, or to improve the height of thinking and breadth of vision.
  • In fact, there are probably dozens of subscription accounts on wechat that recommend a large number of reading resources to you every day. It is suggested that you simplify and ensure that you read useful information instead of letting them lie in your favorites.
  • Another important channel is actually the email groups or groups of the technical community, if you really want to get first-hand information, this is the first choice. Sure, Github provides a channel, but some communities are more convenient
  • There are some channels may be relatively small some, pay more attention to the head of the industry or the public number of enterprises, and then see if there is no industry waist people’s knowledge planet or other groups, after entering may be very conducive to the development of the circle, in fact, IT circle said big or quite big, but small is also very small.

Some final suggestions

Don’t be a fake learner

Pseudo-learners are people who read or study just to punch out a clock or show off. They study every day for time or sharing, not for growth. The essence of everyday learning is to seek psychological comfort. Such people encounter problems seem to know, but really do not know how to solve it.

Think more

Don’t watch AI fire to learn AI, watch Bitcoin fire to learn blockchain, watch Internet of things fire to learn C/C++. Think about the trends behind each phenomenon, identify your own position, and then act.
