Today is Monday, October 5th, half way through the National Day holiday. My Colleagues in Europe are still at work. I can’t help replying to a message from them on Slack. European colleagues knew that I was still on vacation and immediately ordered me to close Slack. This reminded me of my long business trip in Europe, when I observed that local colleagues had a very clear distinction between work and life. 996 in China was unimaginable to them. Of course, although their working hours are not as good as ours on the surface, according to my observation of working with them, foreign programmers are very focused on office and I don’t find any scratching phenomenon. Therefore, their productivity is very high and they don’t need to constantly extend the absolute working hours to increase output.
