Problems I encountered in the first month of my internship:

A sense of self-distrust

As an intern, the dual impact of technology and the workplace can bring a lot of pressure on yourself. Technically, especially in a technically strong team, everyone has so many advantages and great skills, which brings me a lot of surprises, but vice versa, it also brings a lot of pressure. At this time, I need to adjust my attitude correctly: since I can be selected by the team through a series of interviews, it means that I am valued by the team at least. It’s based on an awareness of your own abilities and a sense of validation. I think the most important thing of an internship is to build an understanding of the job and learn some skills to complete the job. It’s a zero-to-one process.

Team integration

As a newcomer to the workplace, I need to transition from a student mindset to a work mindset, and I need to have a clear understanding of the team and my role and goals. The individual is slow to heat up, coupled with the tension of entering the workplace may be slower than the extroversion into the personality, but in fact, we have such a trait, you can magnify it. In my opinion, as for the integration of the team, we should participate in more group activities, communicate with others without reservation or fear, and expose ourselves, which is an important step for the integration of identity.

Personal responsibility

Not knowing enough about multiplayer development, the technical stack of the project, and the product and business, the task assignments were confusing at first. At the beginning, I was not sure whether I could finish it or not, because I was not sure of my technical mastery and the division of tasks was not detailed enough, which led to some problems in the communication of progress and the failure to report risks. It is easy to take charge of everything because of good face or fear of losing trust. This kind of behavior is not responsible for the team and themselves. It is a point that needs to be handled when one is desperate to complete and necessary risk reporting.

My thoughts on front-end work:

user-oriented

There are many definitions of the front end on the Internet, some people think that the front end is required to master the three brothers, plus master some framework on O ** K. In my work this month, I felt the team’s pursuit of “user orientation”. It had a big effect on me.

I think people go to my page and they want to get some information. And how to get these data, and elegant display to the user (speed, visual effects) is my job, which is also the point I am not satisfied after playing photoshop and image processing for several years in middle school. I hope users can directly see the results I have completed when opening the page, rather than just a picture or a video.

Later I brought this “user-oriented” thinking to some products. For some front-end technology frameworks, the user is the developer, so how does it think about what the developer needs and how to implement these function points, I think this is a point of great interest to me.

Furthermore, “user-facing” means focusing on the user experience rather than the crude completion requirements. If the user experience is better, developers should and will be willing to work on even the most trivial things and embrace new technologies.

Code is written for people to see, only occasionally to let the machine run. The “users” involved here are the other developers working together, and making it easier for others to work is also an issue to focus on.

Learning without thought is useless; thought without learning is perilous. Next, I will study in depth the knowledge points I am concerned about in this month’s task. First, I want to satisfy my curiosity, and second, I want to work better in the future.
