A Discourse can set a notification.

The notification function is mainly realized through the browser. For example, when you use Chrome, the site with Discourse installed can send you notification to inform you of new topics or replies.

However, this notification can sometimes be very annoying. In the latest Discourse version, this notification can be disabled.

You can choose do not disturb mode.

Configuration method

After logging into Discourse platform, select your profile picture and you can select your user attributes under your profile picture.

Then in the dialog box that pops up, you can choose to set the interruption free time.

How long messages can be unreceived.

When the setup is successful, you can see a newly added moon symbol on your avatar.

This flag indicates that your Settings are in effect.

If you click your profile picture again to enter Settings, you will see the time set in the specific configuration area.

Plan time

You can also set periods of time when you are free from interruptions.

Select Set message time and you will see the time limit screen below.

In the above interface, you can manage the time of day when you do not want messages to be received.
