“Live up to the time, the creation of non-stop, this article is participating in 2021 year-end summary essay competition”

Hello, I’m 3Y

This is my summary of 2021. The last time I wrote this type of article was in 2019. Yes, I didn’t write a year-end review for 2020.

I came up with the idea to document what I did in 2021.

Regular readers who know me will probably know that I’m a bit of a Buddhist, and I don’t try to summarize what I did well or what I didn’t do well, and what I’m going to accomplish next year. I like to share my opinion or experience when I am faced with something.

01, naked

This year is the second year of my graduation work. I chose to resign naked in the middle of the year and resolutely returned to my hometown from other places.

Why did you choose to leave? I am alone in the field alone.

In the past two years, I will fly back to my hometown from my work place during my long vacation. When the vacation is about to end, I will fly back to my work place from my hometown. Most return trips are scheduled to leave home at 9 a.m. and return to the dorm at work by 7 p.m. When I got back to the dormitory, it was dark outside and dark inside the house.

I sit on the chair in the dorm and set up my computer. The moment I turn on the screen, I can’t help but think: “Ah! So my vacation is over and I’m back here. I have to work tomorrow.”

I got to know a lot of good friends in these two years, but change jobs change jobs, change cities change cities. I was the only one who was on duty on double eleven in the company.

Why did you choose to resign naked? I think I am still young, and my personality is relatively Buddhist.

My initial concept is not naked resignation, riding a donkey looking for a horse he is not sweet? Naked resignation can be said to be impulsive and irrational. But carefully review down, I think this age out looking for a job is delicious, the problem is not big.

After coming out to work, I found that the word “long vacation” is really precious. Before I quit, I often think: the next time I change jobs, I won’t be seamless.

The only vacation I can afford is about two weeks. From time to time, I have to leave my desk at work to answer phone calls for interviews, and I may start video phone interviews in the evening without lunch after work… There are a lot of places I want to get out of, and I have my own things to deal with…

This is probably my only chance to quit naked: I want to experience different life while I’m young, so I can brag about it when I’m old

02. Freelancing

After my naked resignation, I thought I would travel to different provinces in China. But in the middle of the year the epidemic gradually started again, which I didn’t expect. When I came back to Guangzhou from my trip to Beijing, I just stayed at home.

In addition to my day job, I write articles and earn a little advertising. After quitting my day job, I went freelance for three months.

Freelancing sounds good: you don’t have to work for a company to earn money by exporting articles or videos.

But people are inert, I naturally is no exception. No other reason: Productivity at home is too low. It’s hard for me to have the discipline to “freelance.” When I’m away from work for a long time, it’s only a matter of time before I become decadent, at least for now.

If you are a regular reader, you will notice that I often post pictures of myself going to the library in my moments on weekends. I only go to the library to write articles and code the Austin project, and use the environment to improve my self-control

At home during that time, I continued working on my Online Interviewer series, which appeared to be a constant stream of updates. But I know THAT I am really inefficient. For a while to see the fund will be firm offer, for a while to see their interest in the video has updated… In the end, the data of my we-media account did not get better during that period, nor did the number of followers increase.

It could be that I never had a vision of “freelancing” and didn’t have the drive to do it. I had expected that I would be looking for work in a few months. It’s just that I’ve been lying flat and calling it “freelancing.”

03, employment

After lying flat for three months, life was very dull. I have found that I am not suitable for lying flat all the time, and I am not suitable for high-intensity rolls. I believe in a balanced life. So I started sending out resumes for interviews and continued to work as an agent.

After lying flat, in the technical part, the ability to write code is unfamiliar, while the eight-part essay is actually good for me. After all, I have written so many eight-part essays that the review efficiency is quack fast.

After sending out my resume, I was impressed by a company I interviewed. At that time, the technical aspect was almost ready. The HR opposite asked me a question: why do you choose our company? I didn’t expect this problem at that time, so I said bluntly: There is no big reason, but my former colleague gave me internal promotion, I want to come in and have a look. I guess the HR was so confused that they gave me another round of interviews, but I still failed.

“People should not be too honest” this truth I should have understood, but often encounter setbacks will be more profound memory.

Most of the subsequent interviews went well. After one round of interviews, I chose a company with a balance between life and work to continue to move bricks.

04, life

I remember when I was very young, I followed my family to my grandmother’s home and one of my relatives insisted that I stay at their house for one night (I don’t know if it was for fun or what, I can’t remember why). I refused and cried all afternoon before I was told to go home.

At that time, I could not leave home.

My primary school is to walk to school, at noon I run home for dinner, after class in the afternoon I also run home for dinner. When I went to junior high school, I was sitting in the village school bus to go to school, at noon the village school bus will also take back to the village, afternoon after class will also take back to the village on time, early years I have been used to eat at home.

By the time I got to high school, there was no mandatory accommodation, because the accommodation was not good enough for all the high school students at that time. When I was a senior in high school, I also took the school bus home in the village. What was different was that I stayed at school at noon and the school bus only took me back after school in the afternoon.

Later, my dad thought it would improve my academic performance (maybe he knew I was a lazy dog who had no self-control at home and had to be left to school). Put me up and go home once a week. During the final stretch of senior year, you might only go home once every two weeks. But the school is very close to my home, I can run less than an hour back, I don’t feel much.

By the time I went to college, I was still in the same city, but the commute time was a little longer, more than two hours on the ground and the bus. I basically went home once every two or three weeks.

I feel more and more independent, so I dare to go to work alone, only about four times a year home. After this experience, home is the best. Now I go home once a week and take a day out almost every weekend. Climb a mountain picnic 🍚 ride a bike 🚴🏻 catch fish 🐟 barbecue 🚴 hotpot fish maybe when I have a family, I’ll go home every day.

Most of the time I will think: I should go to the North, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hangzhou to struggle for a few more years to make more money, a wave of big factories to plating gold. The friends I made before, almost all of them are similar route, and I started lying flat mode at this age, isn’t it too bad…

In an era where choice is greater than effort, I don’t know whether my choice is wrong or not, which needs time to verify. I’m pretty happy with the pace of my life right now, and maybe one day I’ll get worse and worse, and I won’t regret my decision this year.

05, recent

After my recruitment interviews ended, I was less and less motivated to update the Online Interviewers series. This series from resume preparation to back-end each high frequency knowledge point, according to my personal experience interview, most of the content has been covered.

Some time ago there was a quick hand after the elder brother saw, told me to successfully jump to a well-known foreign company. Gradually, many friends began to know about this series and recommended it to other students (although it was still not popular in general, I was satisfied with it).

Along the way, update 400+ original I fell into the creation of confusion. Two years ago, I thought THAT I would never feel this moment, because I thought that technology is endless. As long as my technology is improving, I will have something to record and share.

However, in the past two years of working, I have found that skills are not as important as I thought when I first graduated. I’ve been through a promotion interview, a social recruitment interview, and a few different bosses, all of which have had different effects on me. Also, I increasingly believe that technology needs to be dropped in the production environment to make sense, and I don’t have the ability to do that now.

Open source projects are always a topic of interest for programmers who love to blog. When I graduated, I set up a GitHub repository for all my original articles. Even though the stars count is 16K, that number is just a number to me. A GitHub number to pull out and blow, but I’m not proud of it.

I always wanted to write the open source technology project, but I didn’t start it. When I started working, I didn’t know much about many things, so learning from the company’s project is the best and fastest way (purely personal opinion, welcome to discuss).

In mid-October, I decided to write my own open source technology project from scratch, which I positioned as a Java beginner and junior programmer for small company projects with relatively weak technology.

By the middle of December, the overall framework of the project has been formed, and I am still iterating. I shared a lot of technical insights and discussed a lot of details, and overall I learned a lot that I hadn’t thought about before.

I believe that in a few years, my Online Interviewer series and the Austin project will be remembered by most Java interviewers and Java developers looking for projects to practice on.

06,

2021 is coming to an end. I want to talk about a lot of things, but the writing is not good, delete a lot of content.

In the end, thank you for clicking on this article and finishing my 2021 year-end review. I know a lot of people quietly read my articles, not like or leave a message. But today, I’m hoping to get a little more likes so I can go home and brag about it.

Thank you all for your continued support. I will continue my efforts.
