This is really the hardest and most frustrating interview I’ve ever had.

So I joined a game company to develop the page game server.

But essentially, I have no interest in either playing or developing games, especially RPGS, which I instinctively think are complicated and take a lot of time to learn how to play.

But at that time, MY idea was very naive: no matter what business or industry it is, WHAT I want to learn and improve is the technology, the game backend can help improve my technical experience in multi-threading and high concurrency.

Now looking at my thoughts at that time, it really was the beginning of my failure. It is also the main reason why I lack competitiveness due to the lack of industry business precipitation.

Now I am a skilled coder at best.

As the number of players dwindled and the flow dropped, so did the development effort.

I vaguely remember that I finished a week’s work in one afternoon. Other time, ah, or their own casual look, and then in the QQ group blowing brag force.

If it is retirement, yes, it is comfortable, but I am still young, I need to grow up, I can not waste the time. I put in a resume, got an interview, and got the job.

The new hire is a Series B Internet startup.

The company works overtime at night and has only one day off. But it doesn’t matter. I’m single anyway.

The good thing about a startup is that you’re exposed to a lot of things. At that time, this company was like this. Due to the rapid development of business, back-end services needed to carry out database read-write separation reconstruction, distributed service-oriented governance, and research and development to build monitoring and alarm and other infrastructure, from which we could really learn and experience a lot.

I can’t agree more that growth companies are better for people.

Growth companies are really short of everything. It’s really easy to do something to prove yourself if you want to.

In this start-up company, the boss also asked me to lead a person, independently responsible for the development of a system. Unfortunately, although technology can, but the mind was too simple, the boss let do whatever, no own ideas, no own thinking.

I left the company anyway. One is because at that time the boss technology really let me disagree, always feel the system made a mess, no rules. Then his educational background is not good, can enter ali such a big company, at least can let their working background good-looking.

Ali is really the best company I’ve ever worked for. (I haven’t been to any other awesome company. I don’t know.)

Just entered Ali, I really is some not very adapt, especially Ali’s icebreaking culture. I don’t know about other business units, but ours is really endless.

The first question I was asked was: Choose one of these girls to be a wife, a lover and a girlfriend.

I was at a loss how to answer. If you can’t answer the question, take a chance. I ended up rolling eggs all night.

But now that I think about it, it’s kind of a happy memory.

Later, when new people joined our team, the boss asked me to host the ice-breaking activity. The boy is ok, the girl is ask not export, the eldest brother also often because of my problem low limit is too high, and not satisfied.

They’re older than me. They’ve worked longer than me. They’re all graduate students. But it’s a good thing I’m free to ask them questions and not be afraid to show my stupidity.

There are so many good memories from ali’s time.

For no reason, I was arranged by the boss to participate in the performance of the 10th anniversary program of the business Department. During the rehearsal, I met a lot of beautiful girls in Beijing and Hangzhou, and the performance even won the award. The people in the team are really envious of me. Later, I attended the 18th anniversary celebration of Alibaba. I also rehearsed, ate and played with several long-legged girls in Hangzhou every day. That time was really happy and wonderful.

You might say, “That’s not your girl. There’s nothing to brag about. But I really thought it was a good experience. Ha ha

Because there are so many good experiences in Ali, so I can’t help saying it. Maybe that’s why I think Ali is the best company I’ve ever worked for.

Ali has performance appraisal. Before, I didn’t have independent thinking and did whatever the boss arranged. This is also the reason why I got 3.25 in the first period when I just started working in Ali.

To work in Ali, you have to be thoughtful and thoughtful. Even to take it to the extreme, no matter how much effort you put into supporting the development of the business, even if the business is doing well, it doesn’t matter to you as a developer. The performance of the developer is measured by whether the old system has been greatly improved or the new system has been developed to improve the work efficiency.

So at Alibaba, in addition to supporting business development, try to make something, at least something you can tell a story to your superiors.

This way, there are good and bad ways. The good thing is that it encourages people to innovate. On the downside, it’s easy to see duplicate wheels that look similar.

In a mature and stable business division like ours, the new system that we can think of and the transformation that is easy to carry out are almost all promoted by those who come early to tell stories, and the remaining systems are often the old systems that are difficult to transform.

In contrast to the growth companies, there really is very little missing.

I often feel that joining a mature, stable division is like entering a market that has already been turned from blue to red by early arrivals. The early comers have been rewarded and promoted, while the late comers, no matter how hard they work in this red sea, are often just eating soup, and their input and output are far worse than the early comers.

If a person has ideas, wants to break through and challenges, in fact, a growing company or a growing department is more suitable. Perhaps the growth company wages low, will die, but its growth space to bring you growth experience is indelible, but also the most precious. If you really want to move on.

Based on the above knowledge, ALTHOUGH I am very reluctant to leave Ali, I have decided to leave Ali recently.

Time really fast, work fast five years I still so ordinary, mediocre, really shame.

Before I turn 30, I want to make one last effort. Go to a growing company that doesn’t lack great people, not only technology but also business, not only to do and think about discovery.

18 years, I am looking forward to making my own achievements in the new company.
