After many students have acquired a DRONE or assembled a PX4 firmware according to online tutorials, is it the most urgent thing to unlock the drone and fly into the sky? But just at this point you run into all sorts of problems that make it impossible to unlock and look around for information? This article is compiled by senior debugging engineers with years of uav debugging experience in AMu Lab to remove your unlocking obstacles!

1. When the remote control unlocks the device, the ground station does not report any error, and the UAV does not respond. Analysis cause: The uav may not recognize the remote control unlocking signal.

Solution: check whether the remote control and the uav receiver on the code, wiring is correct. Is the mode of remote control or receiver SBUS or PPM? If all the above is ok, recalibrate the remote control.

2.Click the arrow to unlock the remote control, and the ground station has the following error. The accelerometers are inconsistent with each other. Preflight checks failed before takeoff.

Solution: Calibrate the accelerometer. Calibrate the accelerometer by holding the drone’s six faces down and waiting for the calibration to complete.

3.To unlock the remote control, click the position indicated by the arrow, and the ground station has the following error. The USB is not safely removed. Preflight checks failed.

Solution: ① Unplug the USB cable connected to the UAV and computer and unlock it again. ② Disable this check in the parameter column. Click Save to make changes. This parameter is to prevent the debugger from accidentally touching the unlock during the debugging, so do not install the propeller during the desktop debugging.

4.To unlock the remote control, click the position indicated by the arrow, and the ground station has the following error.Cause: Check the battery according to the instructions in English.

Solution: Check that the battery is connected to the drone and the motor is fully charged.

5.Follow the instructions below to check whether the voltage displayed by the uav ground station is the same as the actual voltage of the battery. If not, please operate and calibrate uav power according to the following figure:Select the power supply first, click Calculate, fill in the actual battery voltage at the position indicated by 3, click 4 to calculate, wait for the aircraft voltage to approach the measured voltage, and then click Close.

6.To unlock the remote control, click the position indicated by the arrow, and the ground station has the following error:Cause: Press the safety switch according to the Instructions in English.

Solution: ① Find the button with this word on the flight control or GPS as the safety switch, press it will have a prompt sound. Try unlocking it again.② If no button with similar words is found, or there is no safety switch. You can disable the security switch check in the parameter list as follows: Set the parameter to 22027 to disable the security switch check. After modification, you need to click save. This parameter is to prevent the debugger from accidentally touching the unlock during debugging, so do not install the propeller during desktop debugging.

7.To unlock the remote control, click the position indicated by the arrow, and the ground station has the following error:The compass is not the same as the compass in the flight control and GPS.

Solutions: (1) Check whether the UAV GPS and flight control installation direction is consistent, if there is no abnormality, try to calibrate the flight control compass (compass), according to the ground station prompts to calibrate the compass (compass). (2) If it still cannot be unlocked after calibration, check whether there is electromagnetic interference or large metal in the surrounding environment. Or change the site to try to calibrate. (3) If the above methods do not work, try to unplug the GPS and recalibrate it after power failure, and unlock it after calibration. Check whether the compass in GPS is abnormal.

8.To unlock the remote control, click the position indicated by the arrow, and the ground station has the following error:Analysis cause: Invalid return voyage according to English instructions.

Solution: (1) Take the UAV to the outdoor open environment with good GPS signal site flight. ② Turn off the Return setting first in indoor test, but be sure to turn it on in outdoor flight. The closing operation is as follows: Select the safety interface, change the words “Return” to Disabled, and Return functions such as runaway and failure. Note When flying outdoors, you need to turn on the runaway or failure return function.

9.To unlock the remote control, check the location of the error message. The ground station has the following error:Analysis reason: The English error indicates that the GPS position is too loose, and 7 GPS satellites can be searched.

Solution: Flight test in an open field with a good GPS signal.

conclusion

Based on debugging experience, unlockable problems can be roughly divided into two categories: 1. The flight controller does not receive the unlocking signal of the remote controller. Check whether the remote controller and the receiver are in code, whether the wiring is connected in the correct position, whether the input signal of the receiver is PPM or SBUS, and whether the remote controller is calibrated correctly. 2. The flight controller receives the unlocking signal, and refuses to unlock the flight when the self-check before unlocking finds potential security risks. According to the error information, check whether the corresponding sensor works normally or whether the initial configuration of the UAV is correct.
