Recently, the Ministry of Education issued the “National Security Education Guidelines for Colleges and Schools”, which included science and technology security and network security in the guidelines, and put forward suggestions on the starting point of learning period and subject coverage for students in colleges and schools respectively.

The main goal of the Guidelines for National Security Education in Colleges, Primary and Secondary Schools is to enable students to deeply understand and accurately grasp the overall concept of national security through national security education, firmly establish the concept that national interests come first, enhance the consciousness of consciously safeguarding national security, and have the ability to safeguard national security.

National security education in primary and secondary schools includes key areas such as political security, homeland security, military security, economic security, cultural security, social security, science and technology security, and network security.

Among them, science and technology security includes the security of science and technology itself and the security of related fields supported by science and technology. It covers many aspects such as science and technology personnel, facilities and equipment, science and technology activities, scientific and technological achievements, and application of achievements. It is an important force and technological foundation to support national security. We are faced with the problems of relying on others for core technologies in key areas and lack of original innovation ability. To maintain the safety of science and technology, we must attach importance to the training of talents and the breakthrough of key technologies.

Network security includes network infrastructure, network operation, network service, information security and so on. It is the basis of ensuring and promoting the healthy development of the information society. Facing cyber infrastructure security risks and cyber crime and other threats. To safeguard cyber security, we must practice the concept that “without cyber security, there will be no national security, and without IT application, there will be no modernization.” We must strengthen the law-based governance of the Internet, technological innovation and international cooperation, and foster a sense of sovereignty in cyberspace.
