Apple today pushed the first beta version of macOS 12 Monterey to public testers, allowing non-developers to play with the system prior to its official release.

MacOS 12 Monterey brings new ways for users to connect, improve efficiency and fluency on Apple devices.

SharePlay is a new feature for FaceTime video calls that allows users to share the experience. The Share with You feature makes it easier for users to explore and enjoy content shared through messaging apps, including the Photo App, Safari browser and podcast App.

Major updates to Safari include a sleek TAB bar and powerful TAB management with the help of TAB groups; For the first time, the Mac supported shortcut commands to perform everyday tasks. Focus mode helps users focus on tasks and reduce distractions.

In addition, macOS 12 Monterey added two new continuous interworking features: Universal control and teleplay to Mac, helping users easily work with multiple Apple devices in a new way.

MacOS 12 Monterey will support the broadest Mac family ever, including the latest iMac, MacBook Air, 13-inch MacBook Pro, Mac Mini and Intel-powered Mac family.
