Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is not just a means of payment. The coming online of smart contracts is also helping to build its ecosystem. Of course, this is not possible without the efforts of many supporters.

Two months ago, Cointext, Atlantis LABS, Akari Global Foundation, BCH Foundation, Bitbox, Blockpress, Centbee and others jointly established THE BCH Development Standards Group (C2) to facilitate the establishment of BCH application development standards and promote standardized and large-scale development of BCH.

That month, one of its members, the Akari Global Foundation, officially launched Akari-Pay, the first shot to support standardized development of THE BCH app, which enables merchants and nonprofits to Pay BCH. Recently, Akari has taken another step forward with the launch of a BCH enabled page builder that allows users to create micro-sites based on BCH fundraising campaigns and is free to develop for BCH.

On July 7, Akari announced the launch of its Akari-Pages service, the first application built on the page builder. Generally speaking, it is a micro-site that provides BCH fundraising for free. Its page can be set up and customized to meet users’ needs. At the same time, the advertising of the site adopts an open delivery mode, which shows the importance level of fundraising projects and the percentage of fundraising progress intuitively.

Of course, the most important thing is that the entire service is free and the protocol is open source.

To facilitate normal use of the Akari-Pages service, Akari has released a video detailing how users can create custom micro-sites to raise money, and all fundraising activities can be viewed through bitfund.cash, updated each time someone adds a page. At the same time, the Akari team has revamped their Akari-Pay service to include more features to enhance Akari-Pages.

It is also a decentralized fundraising platform. Recently, Lighthouse, a CROWDfunding platform based on BCH, was officially resurrected and has been in operation. Lighthouse is a crowdfunding platform for businesses and individuals with innovative solutions (primarily targeted at the BCH community in the early stage). The solutions can be the development of BCH related infrastructure, including hot and cold wallets, browsers, and other applications that fit the actual situation. For example, excellent creative projects in music, film and television, education, social networking, product authentication, copyright and other fields.

It’s safe to say that Akari-Pages and Lighthouse are going head-to-head in terms of funding. Lighthouse was originally founded by Mike Hearn, but for some reason stopped development, and is now officially back on BCH. Like Akari-Pages, Lighthouse is a free service, positioned as a decentralized fundraising platform, and both use simplified smart contracts.

In addition to the competition with Kickstarter and Indiegogo and other traditional fundraising platforms, the direct competition between the two sides also reflects the decentralization of BCH app development. Only the competition of homogeneous apps can promote the healthy development of BCH app development, and jointly build BCH’s ecological empire!
