It’s just that when I submitted the offer at the beginning (late June and early July), they almost ignored me. But! From late August to the end of September, they all made appointments. You don’t know which resumes will get back to you, but you can stop interviewing after you get two or three good offers. There’s no need to be an offer harvester. Taking one or two more offers is used to raise the price with HR.

In this article, I will combine my personal experience to explain the current autumn recruitment process and interview characteristics of large Internet companies. Common interview vocabulary literacy

Before the formal presentation, I also have to do a common vocabulary literacy for Internet company interviews. Here are some words to understand!

A good command of the eight-part essay is a necessary but not sufficient condition for a successful interview. Reciting eight-part essay is also a trend now, but I actually don’t like this trend.

Regular interview: now most of the regular interview of the Internet big factory adopts this form, the first half hour of self-introduction, ask about the project, recite the interview essay, the last half hour of a code question.

Interview notes: When conducting an interview organized by an Internet company, you will leave your own interview notes. The interview notes will include the interviewer’s comments. This interview note is for future interviewers and HR to see.

Pre-interview: after the department receives your resume, it will not be entered into the company system, and will be screened by HR. If you pass the resume screening. The department directly initiated the pre-interview, and after passing the interview, the following process was directly entered into the system. The interview, however, does not affect your application to other departments in the company, because the company does not have a record of your interview. The way to find a pre-interview is to look for your senior colleagues in the company, or to find the posts on the niuke network. Pre-interview is not acceptable in some companies.

Supervisor face: Supervisor face refers to the department’s technical director to interview you, go to this level can prove that everyone’s technology has no problem. The manager will basically use half – ask technique, half – chat ideal form of interview with you. Sometimes they’ll ask you about your activities in school, or even what you did on your senior thesis. In addition to looking at skills, one of the most important aspects of an executive interview is to see if you’re a good fit with the team.

HR interview: HR interview is when you are interviewed by human resources. The first question the HR usually asks you is who you are, and this question is actually to see if you have come to the company for an interview. If you meet a company in Beijing, and you are from Hebei, Henan, Shanxi and other cities around Beijing, you don’t need to say more after you say where you are. But if your family is from northwest China, you went to school in Nagada, and you happen to meet a company in Guangzhou and Shenzhen, you’d better explain why you want to work there. In addition, HR will ask about your school experience and judge whether your personality fits the team through communication. By the way, another question that HR often asks is, what offers do you have? This is a problem you need to throw out some hard offers, because quality talent who want to grab. However, your offer should be on the same level as the company you are interviewing with. The company you are interviewing with is a small company. You tell them that you have got the work card of byte.

After the Internet company autumn recruit vocabulary literacy, I combined with my own experience to introduce the characteristics of each big factory autumn recruit, we take a small book.

Common characteristics of big factory interview

Some of the following companies have not been introduced, such as yi, Hand, di, etc. These companies are not I think they are not big factories, but some of these companies I did not vote, some of the written test I failed, some of the side I failed, the specific company written test I failed, you can in the comments area without prizes to guess. So I don’t really know what they are. The ones listed below are the ones THAT I’ve been interviewing for at least two rounds or more.

baidu

Some departments of Baidu will organize a pre-interview. I participated in a pre-interview in July at the beginning of autumn recruitment, but FAILED (embarrassed). Fortunately, IT was a pre-interview and there was no interview record. Then I regrouped in August to fight baidu again, and finally got back.

Additionally charge everybody is, interview baidu besides attend pre-interview as far as possible outside. Input system of the interview also as far as possible to participate in the department direct recruit, can avoid written examination.

Baidu’s interview format is routine. The interview process consists of three rounds of technical interviews (the third round is a supervisor interview) and one HR interview. Although Baidu has lost market value in the past two years, its technology is still good. In addition, Baidu is one of the Internet companies that work less overtime.

Ali.

Ali’s annual school enrollment is relatively small, and the school enrollment period is relatively short, which basically starts from the end of July to the beginning of September. Although you may see that alibaba’s internal promotion is full of customers, most of them are due to the interview KPI. Ali’s INTERVIEW KPIs are heavy, that is to say, every time a department is given a quota, it requires the department to receive dozens of resumes for the quota. If the number of resumes does not meet the quota, the leader will have to be interviewed. So when sending out resumes, be sure to keep your cool when pushing employees to ask for resumes. In addition, when preparing the resume, it is best to have an understanding of the autumn recruitment quota of the department you want to cast. Although it is difficult for you to ask the expected number of offers from the team, you can ask how many people are in the team of the people who push you. 1/8 to 1/10 of the team is roughly the quota of the school recruitment of the team. By the way, some of ali’s departments also have pre-interviews, which is a good learning opportunity.

You have to take a written exam to take ali’s school entrance exam. Ali will organize the written test at a fixed time every week, as long as you are ready to take it, the form of the written test is two code questions an hour, one medium difficult question, one difficult question. If you make one, you are sure to get into the interview. If you pass part of the test sample, you may get into the interview.

Ali seldom asked code questions after entering the interview, but he asked more in-depth questions about the original reason. He often asked about your thinking on technology, for example, what do you think is good about Sring? If the answer is shallow, the interviewer will not be satisfied.

tencent

Tencent usually organizes two written exams, but participation is not required. You can start the interview without taking the written test. You need to put your resume in the system first. After putting your resume in the system, the business group you choose will see your resume first, but each business group can see your resume and catch you.

However, to be honest, Tencent is not very friendly to Java programmers, the internal use of Java is still relatively small, many new projects are using Go.

Moreover, Tencent’s KPI interview is quite serious, so your resume may not be picked up by any department. I face Tencent experience comparison dog blood, a few days after the resume directly received an interview. Tencent has departments to catch you, will be on wechat with Tencent recruitment of the public number to you about the face, but can not see the appointment of the department, you can choose to accept or reject. The first interview Tencent, after introducing myself, the interviewer’s first question is, do you know C++? Well, I can do a little. And then you start talking, and you know what. In the second interview, I asked the interviewer at the beginning of the interview which department you work for, and he said unmanned… I was like Oh, my God, what the fuck are you you autonomous department what are you doing with me? Then there was another awkward chat to end the interview. Then I could not bear it, and took the initiative to find an interviewer in the container development department of Tencent. I asked him to get my resume, and then we got along well.

Tencent’s interview, like most big factories, uses routine interviews. The technical side sometimes has two rounds, sometimes three rounds, and the third round is the supervisor plus side. Then there is the HR interview. If HR asks you to apply for cloud certification several days after the interview, it means that your offer is in the bag.

jingdong

Jingdong’s technical interview adopts routine interview, and the questions are relatively simple, and can be directly recruited by the department, without written examination. Technical interviews are sometimes two rounds, sometimes three. In JINGdong, if you are directly interviewed by HR after two rounds of interviews, you are generally an ordinary offer. The third round of executive meeting will decide whether to give you sp or not. But! As far as I know, there are a lot of people who have failed in THE HR department of JINGdong, so the technical side of Jingdong is not stable after it is finished. After interviewing you, if the HR asks you for your ID number once in a while and checks the date of your graduation, this will be a sure thing. On the afternoon of the interview, HR asked me for a check.

Bytes to beat

One advantage of byte interview is that it can be repeated to you, that is, after you face one department, you can immediately transfer to another department, and many departments are directly into the interview without the written test. I have three departments in front of me, and they are all second, or three… I have a feeling I’ve been talking to byte interviewers all September. But he didn’t pass the byte interview.

Byte interview on the whole feel that the interviewer is more aggressive, the tone is relatively fierce. By the way, don’t assume the interview is doomed just because the interviewer is aggressive. I’ve had a couple of tough interviews, and I almost got into a fight with the interviewer, but the interviewer gave me a good comment after the interview. I also met a smiling interviewer when I met a certain hand, who not only suspended me after the interview, but also failed to pass my resume when I applied to other departments.

Byte interviews are very focused on code skills, sometimes you will be given a code problem at the beginning of the interview, write it out and move on. I will also ask about the interview essay and the project.

Meituan

Meituan has almost no direct action from departments. All resumes are first put into the pool and then retrieved by the department. Internal push can be directed to push the business group, but the effect of internal push is not very big. Meituan’s interview was five code questions (I think it was, it’s a bit fuzzy). Do three and you’re in the interview. Do two and you’re probably in the interview.

Meituan’s interview is routine. Sometimes meituan has two rounds of technology, sometimes three rounds. However, Meituan gave you the offer after only two rounds of technical aspects, which may also be SP, because I am ~

A lot of spelling

There will be many rounds of pinduoduo autumn recruitment, including planning, advance approval and official approval. I was voting for the Jump plan. Interviews are routine. At that time, I passed on one side, and there was a problem with the code question written on the second side. I had the idea, but there was a bug in the code. The interviewer transferred me to the client and added another round of interviews. By the way, clients are in short supply these two years, and interviews are relatively easy. Face Java can have no client experience, and then turn to the client job interview, client assessment computer network will be more.

After finishing the technical side of pinduoduo client, the HR side was greeted, but I don’t know why the HR side didn’t pass. This is the only HR meeting I’ve ever missed. In addition, the offer salary offered by Pinduoduo is almost the highest in the industry, but pinduoduo is really tired, and most people can’t stand the normal working time of six days a week.

huawei

Huawei is very strict about the school card of the interviewees, and it feels like the school on the source list of the recruitment by Huawei posted on the Internet. If your school meets huawei’s requirements, you will often receive calls from HR departments during the application phase. It’s a time when you feel like lebron James, being chased by every department. But don’t be too happy too soon, in your application to the corresponding department after the lock, it will be your turn to suffer.

Huawei’s written test has three questions, with the first question scoring 100 points, the second question scoring 200 points and the third question scoring 300 points. Anyone with a total score of 100 or more is eligible for the interview, but I recommend that you do both of the first two questions. After passing the written test, there will be an interview. The first round of interviews will review the code you did in the written test, and you will be asked to explain how to solve the code, and if there is a better way, etc. After passing the first round of interviews, the second round of interviews may be held about half an hour apart, and the second round is a regular interview. A day or two after passing both rounds of interviews, there will be an executive interview. After your manager passes the interview, you will receive a text message, I think it says, congratulations on your passing the third round of interviews, all interviews are over for today. Yes, Huawei does not have an HR profile.

And then there’s the part that I don’t like. After you’ve passed all the interviews, you’ll be placed in a deep pool of talent and offered offers in batches. I finished the interview in the middle of September and gave me the offer at the end of October. I have signed all three parties, ok? Even I didn’t receive an offer until next year. In addition, I will not tell you any information when I give you the offer. I will ask you to come in and tell you your salary when you arrive. Then you will have 5 minutes to think about it and leave without signing.
