I started to write original technical articles in 2015, and now I have about 600 original articles, about 100 articles a year, two articles a week on average.

My own articles are usually posted on my own blog or my official account. Some will also sync to my CSDN, Nuggets, etc.

But in fact, many of my articles are now available on large platforms. A lot of people ask me if I signed up for those platforms and if I posted them.

Well, most of them aren’t. I have seen my articles on netease News, Toutiao, Pulse, Baidu.com and many other websites.

But these contents are reproduced without indicating the source and author. And most of these accounts are marketing numbers, the purpose is to sell information, sell courses.

I used to see one, report one. But to be honest, the protection of originality on many platforms is really bad. Many have no response at all, and some don’t even have a portal.

In this regard, the wechat public number is good, there is an original protection mechanism, the same content as long as I declare the original, others can not be freely reproduced. But only within this platform.

Because my original articles are more, the quality is relatively high, so a few days ago, a wechat public platform staff to find me.

I mentioned that they now have free rights protection services, willing to help me identify plagiarized articles, and help me send letters or Sue.

Soon after, I signed a licensing agreement with them, empowering wechat’s legal department to help defend their rights.

After that, I never paid any attention. They contacted me the other day, said the first infringement monitoring results came in.

4500+ infringement clue!!

This number shocked me, considering I have only 600 original articles of my own, and this was just the first batch they had detected.

After my article was infringed, it was sent to various platforms, and there were hundreds of related platforms alone. Here’s a screenshot:

To tell the truth, after reading this document, or I have quite a big impact, I did not expect a person should feed so many marketing numbers…

I don’t know whether to be happy or sad.

In fact, in China, the protection of intellectual property rights has not been particularly perfect. A long time ago, because someone copied my article, I consulted my lawyer friend. He told me that there is no good way to solve this problem. On the one hand, it is difficult to define infringement and on the other hand, it is difficult to impose punishment.

In particular, the infringement of articles, many of the most cases is to delete the text.

Many people do not understand, and even told me that this is to help me improve my influence, saying that you write articles for others to read?

But I want to ask: you don’t even have a link to the original, the author, just take it away. Need I say more about this behavior?

From the very first day I set up my blog, there was a clear copyright license on my blog, on the front page of the site, and at the end of each post.

The contents and provisions of this agreement can be easily found on the Internet.

[Creative Commons Attribution – Non-commercial use – Sharing in the same way] this is already a very open copyright license, and I could have prohibited deduction (alteration, conversion or alteration of the work), but I chose not to use this option in order to be more open. Only the request must be signed, not commercial! Are those two points too much?

Now the first batch of infringement clues have been sorted out, I will soon feedback to the legal department of Tencent, they will immediately help to protect their rights.

I have only authorized some public accounts to reprint my articles in the wechat public platform, and only authorized some websites to synchronize my articles to my account on their platform. I have done authorization for the others.

So, for those who did not have my authorization to “reprint” the article, is certain to be rights, may receive a lawyer’s letter or Sue that!

Finally, thanks to the protection of the original wechat platform! As well as Tencent’s legal department for me such a small author’s rights support!!
