Working at 9 am and leaving at 9 PM, six days a week, is common at Internet companies. Is it true that everyone can accept such blessings? Say goodbye to 996, improve work efficiency is the key!

1. Make a work plan

As we all know, there is no doubt about the importance of making a work plan. Working without a plan is like cutting wood with a dull knife, and the messy work content makes you not know what to do at what time. Statistics show that making a plan in just 20 minutes can save you an hour of work time, and the trivial tasks don’t weigh on your mind.

The project manager or project member can make a list of things that need to be done today, assign a handler, and set a schedule so that the handler knows what needs to be done today. Of course, if the task is not completed on time, an “overdue” sign will appear after the scheduled time, which means the task was not completed on time.

2. Identify priorities

Everyone’s working hours are limited, but why do others get more done in the same amount of time? A core point in time management theory is the four-quadrant rule, which divides things to be done into four quadrants according to the arrangement and combination of urgent, non-urgent, important and unimportant, including urgent and important things, urgent and unimportant things, important and non-urgent things and non-urgent and unimportant things.

We added the four-quadrant rule to our system and condensed it into four priorities: urgent, high, medium, and low. Project members can prioritize their work according to the actual situation and deal with relatively urgent tasks first, so that they can produce maximum value in their work even if their working time is limited.

3. Categorize tasks

I believe many people have experienced this deeply in their work. Doing the same kind of work together can greatly reduce working hours and improve work efficiency. On the other hand, disorganized tasks combined with unexpected situations are likely to make us feel overwhelmed and reduce our enthusiasm for work.

In order to increase the level of work and make the work more clear, we added the module setting into the system. The module can be customized by the project manager in the project configuration, and all project members can classify their work tasks according to the module. If working by modules is not enough, you can customize labels to distinguish tasks.
