In the current special period, how to do a large scale product release conference?

Since 2020, this question has presumably been a common annoyance for the entire consumer electronics industry. As we have seen in Sanyi Life, some of them choose to ignore consumers and try to use the speaker’s own eloquence to drive the audience’s mood; Some brands choose to present the charm of new products more directly through micro-films or other similar methods. Others learned from variety shows and added sound effects such as laughter and applause.

For Apple, of course, the same conundrum exists. But aside from the developer interviews and “me emojis” that were showcased in the opening segment, apple went with the traditional — and most familiar — technical presentation.

After all, today is WWDC, a tech extravaganza featuring iOS 15, iPad OS 15, macOS Monterey, and Watch OS 8. Both Apple and the audience know that it’s the new technology and user experience that really gets the attention, rather than the flashy performances.
