To make a widget, start by downloading a third-party app, such as WidgetSmith, from an app store.
On the home screen, click and hold until you see a plus sign in the upper left corner. Click here to add the widget.

In these steps, we will create a widget using the application WidgetSmith. You can download this application from the App Store.
After downloading WidgetSmith, open the application.
Click Add (Size) Gadget to make a gadget of the size you choose.
Click Add Widget, and then click the Default Widget box.
Edit your widgets by selecting style, font, and color.
When you’re finished editing, click the back arrow in the upper left corner, and then click Save.
Exit the application and go to your home screen, then click and hold until you see a plus sign icon in the upper left corner.
Now search for WidgetSmith or click on it in the directory.
Select the size widget you want to add, and then click Add Widget. Then click Done on the home screen.
To change a widget to a widget created, click on the widget, and then select Edit Widget.
Select the widget from the list that you want to display on the home screen.
How do you customize widgets on the iPhone?
Depending on the application you use, the custom widgets may vary for each application.
In the App Store, search for “customizable widgets” to find apps that you can make widgets for use on the iPhone’s home screen. Read the description of the application to see what types of widgets you can customize with the application.
You can also make shortcut widgets using the Shortcut App that Apple introduced in the iOS 14 update. These widgets can perform tasks in the application without opening the application.
