Since June 2021, the challenge has been held for 4 periods, with 2500+ participants and 7W + articles created. The rules of each period have been explored and changed. Of course, as the number of participants grew and the attention the event generated exploded, we also heard some skepticism. But overall, the Gwen Challenge is a successful benchmark that continues to inspire the passion of nuggets creators.
1. Let “unmotivated” writers get ladder incentives and develop the habit of output
In the past we have tried splitting prizes, lucky draws, ladder prizes, etc. It turns out that delayed gratification in stages is more rewarding for creators, who can gain a writing habit of “continuous output” in addition to physical rewards, which is the most rare.

2. Let newcomers who “feel like they can’t write” start writing
In each issue of The Challenge, we will set up a new talent award to encourage writers who have never written technical articles or participated in the challenge to take the first step in technical output. Therefore, novice authors account for a large proportion in the past activities, and we will also list a series of sample essays to provide a reference for novice writers.

One person’s writing habit might be crafting one long article a month, while another might keep a daily development journal/essay. However, there is no such thing as a good or bad writing cycle, it’s just a matter of habit, and honing one long article per month is worth a reward (more on how to improve it below).
What is the specific connotation of “digging gold · Day new plan”?
From the review, we realized that the word “genwen Challenge” could not include our purpose of “encouraging creators to form the habit of output, encouraging new people to create”, so we came up with “Digging gold · Rixin Plan”.
In the Book of Rites, The Great University, there is a saying: “If one wishes to make the day new, he can make the day new again.” If you can be “new” every day, you should keep “new” every day, “new” but also more “new”, diligent thinking and output, the pursuit of a daily step up. In the age of information overload, there is no shortage of input of opinions and common sense, but in order to internalize them into their own nutrients, they need to be reinforced by constant output — writing is one way of output (speech, open source code is also), I hope more friends will join us and work together.

1. The New plan – more challenges, challenges to self-innovation
For all new, veteran, encourage everyone to develop the habit of thinking and output, the pursuit of daily accumulation and progress.
Main rules: There is no limit to the topic of writing. 1) Step awards are set according to the number of days of writing. 2) Select “Creative Pioneer Award” according to article data points.
Holding period: it is expected to hold one bimonthly and last for one month.

Main rules: select one technical field in each issue, limit the topic scope of articles, and invite 1-2 experts to select excellent articles.
Period: it is expected to be held twice a month 1-4.

Main rules: set multi-dimensional awards such as articles, works and techniques, depending on the theme of the current period.
