There are plenty of rumors about the love/hate relationship between product managers and programmers.
This is not, because of the prototype this thing recently, became me and the programmer brother to tear the face of the final fuse……
Can you believe it? I almost got in a fight with my programmer buddy in the office!
What’s going on?
That’s what happens when I click the “OK” button in the PRD document, and the programmer ends up writing a page that looks fancy, with button text mangled, prompt text mangled, and even missing necessary interactions!
However, the programmer said that during the development process, there was no time to read the document and no remarks on the prototype, which led to problems.
After a debate, the office turned into a boxing ring
A product colleague pulled us apart and shared his experience with me:
Before he also often because of prototype battle with programmers, but since he drew prototype using copy RP, the document and prototype on the same page, from then on his relationship with programmer brother visible improved, and often can have lunch together!
After gradually quieting down the anger of tearing X with the programmer buddies, IN the spirit of trying to solve the problem, I searched the relevant information of the copycat with half a doubt.
After going to the official website, opening up Copy RP, and briefly trying it out, I have to say that online prototyping software is now much more convenient than Axure.
No more searching for a cracked version of Axure, and no more digging around and importing libraries!
In particular, I have carefully studied its remarks function. In the right panel, product managers can mark remarks on every component and every page, so that they and programmers can check and view the remarks in the first time.
During the prototype demonstration, the right side of the interface will also list the remarks of the current page and corresponding components. If the component is not visible, click the remarks, it will automatically locate to the component position, quite intelligent!
The PRD document is attached to the prototype page in the form of “remarks”. The prototype and the document are integrated into one, and there is no problem of missing documents, which undoubtedly reduces the communication cost between us!
Of course, in addition to the “notes feature” that blew my mind, I found a few other treasures to share with you:

Interaction set
The “common components” in Copy RP, such as “switch”, “check box group”, “radio button group” and so on, do not need to set interaction on the components themselves when selecting, and most of them have their own interaction functions.
And often used hover, press, select and other interactive effects can be quickly realized ~
There are also masks, pop-ups, carouches, drawer components, and other prototype interaction styles that I find easier to create using Copyrighter RP than Axure (identified by Axure loyalists)
2. Template examples
I have to say that the copyar RP template example does a really good job, with not only common components on the Web/App side, but also a number of high-fidelity prototypes for popular cases.
E-commerce, background, consulting, social networking, office, official website…… All kinds, all kinds, well versed in the world martial arts, only fast not broken supreme secret!
Want to quickly out a set of prototypes, using the template according to their needs slightly modified, a new set of prototypes is completed, one hour of a set of prototypes is not difficult!
Every month, users will regularly upload 5-8 cases, and the continuous updating of template resources can be guaranteed. If users can upload templates by themselves, it will be more convenient.
3. Quick preview
As an online prototyping tool, when you need to share your project with one click, send a public demo link. Even if you modify the prototype later, the content in the link will update automatically.
Of course, if you need to demonstrate a prototype for a specific occasion or in a non-internet environment, you can also preview it by downloading the offline demo package and clicking on the index.html file.
4. Real-time collaboration
Real-time collaboration is indeed a must for today’s fast-paced workplace workers!
When the Leader finishes the assignment of their own work, everyone enters the same project and finishes their own part. After summarizing, the prototype can be completed quickly!
Page real-time update, efficiency N times improve!

In fact, when I calmed down later, I also reflected on the farce. On the one hand, the problem was the prototype, and on the other hand, there was a problem in communication.
After all, the product manager, as the driver of the product, must master the progress of the product and understand the correct posture to communicate with the programmers so that the requirements can be smoothly communicated to the programmers and the product can be launched on time.
No matter how we tear, but to remember, the successful launch of the project is the goal we pursue, so we still have to communicate with programmers little brother, always master the product progress!
