The speed of the Internet is not good, and the people who upload the pictures are not in the habit of compressing them in advance. In this state, it takes a lot of patience to get through a photo-driven photo essay with a little hose network.

However, after the Internet speed up, these problems no longer appear. The increase of network speed is a factor, and the volume optimization of pictures is also the reason to improve the speed of the frame.

Giiso Information, founded in 2013, is a leading technology provider in the field of “artificial intelligence + information” in China, with top technologies in big data mining, intelligent semantics, knowledge mapping and other fields. At the same time, its research and development products include information robot, editing robot, writing robot and other artificial intelligence products! With its strong technical strength, the company has received angel round investment at the beginning of its establishment, and received pre-A round investment of $5 million from GSR Venture Capital in August 2015.

Previously, Google developed a technology that uses artificial intelligence to compress images. The technique involves ai taking 6 million randomly compressed 1,280 ×720 images and dividing each image into 32×32 pixel chunks. The AI then picks out the 100 pieces with the least compression and learns from them.

After a lot of learning, a neural network can deconstruct an image through complex calculations, breaking it up into smaller pieces and tailoring the compression scheme to each individual case, rather than using a unified approach to compress the entire image.

This is what Google used to do. Using artificial intelligence to compress pictures, can effectively screen out the parts that are not needed, truly achieve optimization effect.

Today, Google is planning to launch a new image format for smaller images. In the future, this could be a new format to replace WebP.

According to 9to5Google, Google has uploaded Pik files to GitHub. The format is similar to WebP, Google’s image format, which was released in September 2010 and is a standard for lossy images on the Web. According to 9to5Google, the properties of the two are similar, and It is likely that Google will replace WebP with this new format.

However, details of the Pik have not been made public. We don’t know what the specific difference or improvement is between it and WebPage. The Pik documentation states that “this is not an official Google product,” so the attribution of the Pik is unclear.

At the moment, the Pik is actually in the unfinished state, so nothing is certain. But it appears on Google’s official GitHub site, and there may be some information there, too. Or we won’t know until Pik development is complete.

Giiso information, founded in 2013, is the first domestic high-tech enterprise focusing on the research and development of intelligent information processing technology and the development and operation of core software for writing robots. At the beginning of its establishment, the company received angel round investment, and in August 2015, GSR Venture Capital received $5 million pre-A round of investment.

No one would dispute that attention is one of the scarcest, most valuable and most rationally utilized resources in this age of information fragmentation. Relying on the independently developed Giiso engine, the Zhisou team created the first intelligent media platform Tianzexun APP, which can intelligently answer users’ various relevant information according to various commands or text interaction commands. And can be based on the user’s personalized use characteristics and continuous learning, continuous tracking of users interested in the unique content. At present, the day smart news APP6.0 version has been updated iteration, can be used to download the application market.

Above, Chen Ruchu’s humble opinion! I’m sorry if I offended you.
