Google just released a version of Android 10 Go for budget-friendly phones. On the Go version of Android 10, mobile software will not only help phones run faster than before, but also help improve security, he said.

Android 10 Go is designed for phones with up to 1.5GB of operating memory. While it doesn’t have all the features of Android 10, the new version of the Light operating system should be able to speed up app launches by 10% and make switching between apps faster.

In addition, Google is using an encryption method called Adiantum to make Android 10 Go more secure. Flagship phones like the iPhone, Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy have dedicated encryption chips that store data and other information needed to keep the phone secure, but entry-level phones don’t have them. With Adiantum, Google says, cheap phones can be as secure as flagship phones.

Google originally developed Android Go for Android Oreo (8.0) in 2017 and released the first version in 2018. It uses less memory and resources than the full operating system, making it ideal for entry-level smartphones.

There are also exclusive Go apps, which are simplified versions of Google’s software designed for these phones. In Android 10, the Go version of the app also brings a number of updates.

Google says phones with Android 10 Go will be available for sale sometime this fall.
